It takes forever to get there. The is a line to git into the park. $10 per person, card only. It is also on Mountain Daylight Time. But don't worry. The will send you out as soon as they have a full vehicle. Out driver, Larry, was informative and helpful. The park was better the the pictures and movies. It was well worth the trip.
Amazing experience with Fernando. He was a fantastic guide and incredibly helpful. The vehicle was great too as we have accessibility needs and this was just perfect. On June 23rd I did the monument valley back country tour at Adventurous Tours. What a fantastic experience, thanks in part to our guide Bryon. He explained many things about monument valley in a calm way and showed us the most beautiful places. We didn’t feel rushed for a moment and could take all the time for photos. Highly recommended!
Our tour guide was Brian who was phenomenal. On this excursion they will go through the monument valley and learn about the history and various formations of the rocks. The roads can be a little bumpy with some dust. If you ride on an exposed truck wear a hat or scar to cover your mouth. It is important to stop and look inside a hogan. Learn about the living quarters of Elvina and her family.
Our guide Chandler was both knowledgeable and friendly. We also met a wise Native American in a Hogan
Thank you Bryan for this lovely tour! When we arrived at Monument Valley we decided spontanously for a guided tour and were really happy about it, because our rented car wouldn't have made it in those unpaved roads. It was very windy, so we chose a closed car instead of an open-air car but we could always leave the car at the stops for some pictures. During one hour Bryan told us about his culture, about the sights in this valley, some history and answered our questions. I also love the photos he took from us. All in all an amazing experience. Don't miss out on this!
