Our trip was cancelled the day before (& I had booked in advance) - reason given weather but the conditions were perfect. Managed to book a trip though a tourist office in the town, who were surprised our tour had been cancelled, could not reschedule as we were leaving the next day. I think that they either overbooked or as someone said because it was a public holiday the staff decided to take a day off. I did get my refund but I was really disappointed as this was the main reason for going to Krakow.
Awful awful awful, bus didn’t turn up for our tour so we didn’t get to go and it ruined our plans for the whole day!
Extremely touching and important place. A visit to the Auschwitz memorial is a powerful experience, which leaves a deep mark. The museum is very well organized, the explanations are clear and respectful, and everything helps to really understand the tragedy of the Holocaust. It is not a light visit, but it is essential to reflect and not forget. Recommended for everyone, at least once in a lifetime.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad to hear that you found the visit to the Auschwitz Memorial both moving and important. We strive to ensure that the museum and tour provide clear, respectful explanations to help visitors truly understand the tragedy of the Holocaust. It is indeed a powerful experience, and we agree that it is essential for reflection and remembrance. Thank you for recommending it to others.
Absolutely avoid this tour by all means. I travelled to Poland on a 2 night trip specifically to do this tour and the tour operator never even showed up to collect me. Then when I contacted support all they could offer me was a refund for the tour. Meaning I had just wasted hundreds on flights, taxis, accommodation and everything else to be here. Fuming is an understatement and I would not recommend going with these people
Thank you for your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. We were in contact with you prior to the tour to inform you that, unfortunately, we had to cancel the booking because the Auschwitz Museum had suspended ticket availability for that day. We understand how frustrating this must have been, especially given your travel arrangements, and we appreciate your understanding. A full refund was issued, and we hope this helps to resolve the situation.
Not happy at all , between the Viator and their tour Guide there was No communication. In the end we were unable to go as the Tour Guide didnt communicate with us that the tickets were sold out . Luckily we were able to go with another company . Also Viator got as a refund straightaway and they were very apologetic .
Thank you for your feedback. We would like to clarify that the tour could not take place because the Auschwitz Museum had suspended ticket availability for that day. This was communicated to you in advance. Unfortunately, in this situation, the only solution we could offer was a refund. We understand that this was disappointing, but it was not the fault of our company.
This trip was very informative and interesting. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and made the trip very memorable. It was harrowing but something needed to be seen.
Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad to hear that you found the trip informative and memorable. It’s true that it can be a harrowing experience, but it is important to see and reflect on. We appreciate your kind words about our guide and hope the visit provided a meaningful experience.
Tour was operated expertly and efficiently with a tour guide who was incredibly passionate about the Nazi occupation of Poland and the Holocaust. Got to see everything and more (including the Judenrampe) and didn’t feel pressured at all to rush through anything. Tour guide was happy to go at our pace and let us see as much as we wanted for as long as we wanted.
Amazing trip! Nice small group and our guide was very passionate and knowledgeable about Auschwitz. The day was planned to perfection and we were the last group out meaning photo opportunities were great and we didn’t have to fight through any crowds. We were given informative guidebooks for the day too, although the guide was so good at explaining things beyond the pictures and artefacts, we didn’t need them! I learned about this subject back in school but not to the extent of what I was taught by our guide yesterday. Seeing everything in the flesh was really difficult to process at times but doing the tour made me feel like these people got to tell their story and their bravery and legacy lives on and inspires us all, in so many different ways. You can’t not be affected by what happened, and it’s a reminder that we must look out for each other and always try to do better. A must do for visiting Poland and I would 100% recommend this particular tour. As a side note: Make sure you wear comfortable clothes and shoes, be prepared for a lot of walking, and if it’s in the warmer months bring sun cream. Lunch isn’t provided so it’s a good idea to bring snacks and expect to be back late depending on what time you have the tour! I never saw anybody taking selfies yesterday, but sometimes you do get people and we need to remember this place is a graveyard in some respects, it’s not just a museum.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful and detailed feedback. We’re delighted to hear that you found the tour informative and meaningful, and that our guide’s knowledge and passion enhanced your experience. It’s true that visiting Auschwitz can be very emotional, but it is an important opportunity to learn, reflect, and honor the stories and bravery of those who suffered. We’re also glad that the small group and well-planned schedule allowed for a more personal experience and great photo opportunities, and that the guidebooks complemented the tour. Thank you for your practical tips for future visitors as well — we appreciate you sharing them. We’re honored that you recommend this tour and hope it leaves a lasting impression, inspiring reflection and understanding for everyone who visits.
Michael was a wonderful tour guide! He was very easy to talk to and very knowledgeable. He shared multiple facts and stories throughout the tour. He made sure to show us every part of the camp that he could and answered any questions we had. One of the best tours we’ve ever had! Five stars!
Everyone should visit this hellish place at least once in their lifetime if they can. It's extreme. And desperately sad of course. But Michael, our guide, was knowledgable, friendly, considerate and kind. He helped make the day memorable and informative, too.
