This was a very well-organized and efficient tour of Auschwitz-Birkenau. From the hotel pick-up to the return drop-off, everything ran smoothly and professionally. The driver and staff were friendly, helpful, and made the logistics completely stress-free. I would recommend this tour for anyone looking for a comprehensive overview of Auschwitz in a relatively short amount of time. It covers the major sites and provides important historical context, making it a great introduction to a place that everyone should experience at least once. If your goal is to spend more time exploring specific exhibits or diving deeper into the history, you may want to consider a longer or more specialized tour. However, for visitors who want an excellent overview in just a few hours, this tour is a fantastic choice. I especially appreciated the convenience, efficiency, and warm hospitality of everyone involved.
Exciting, well organized. Water available and a great guide. I highly recommend it to everyone.
tldr; DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM. Long story: I booked this trip through Viator weeks before the trip. Payment was made directly and everything looked fine. The pickup details for the transfer were unclear — I could pick from some hotels or the operator's address. A week before, I tried contacting them via the Viator app and got no response. Viator's helpdesk couldn't reach them either. I then started calling the provided phone number several times a day for several days. Viator passed our preferred time to the operator but again — no confirmation, no contact whatsoever. Because of this, I went to the address Mariacka 11, 40-014 Katowice to talk to them directly, the day we arrived in Katowice, two days before the trip. It's just a brown apartment door with no answer. The friendly man in the café next door told me there hasn't been any travel agency there for over 6 years. So I was losing all faith and felt terrible, because I was the one who booked this for our group. The next day we had a bike tour in Katowice, and when it ended I checked my phone at 6pm — cancellation email for our trip the next day, without any explanation. The worst part: it is IMPOSSIBLE to get into Auschwitz on such short notice. We came from Belgium specifically for this, and because of nonexistent communication from what looked like a legitimate company, we couldn't visit. In trying to find another solution, I managed to speak with an actual guide at Auschwitz, who told me this happens all the time due to recent policy changes. You can no longer buy tickets at the camps themselves — only online. The tickets are even free, so what you're paying for is the tour and guide, not the entrance. These companies sell tours before even knowing if they have tickets, then decide what to do — or resell them at much higher prices later, creating artificial scarcity. It's atrocious that people exploit such a solemn place for personal gain and leave visitors stranded like this. On Viator I can't even leave a review since the trip never took place. So be very aware of these scams. These operators should be banned from selling — or attempting to sell — these tours. I only found Google reviews about the same behaviour after the fact, through roundabout searching. Find a reputable provider instead. I'm also still waiting for my refund.
Great experience. Good service, good guide.
It was very impressive. The guide was fantastic. Transportation to and from and Katowice pleasant.
An interesting trip full of historical experiences. You really must have seen it, a must. Guide was long-winded and often told the same thing. Second part of the tour could be shorter, much walking, little news and repetition of the story. You start with a small group, but once there a larger group is added to the guide. Please note that this organization is happy to adjust the agreed time. Trip from 09.00 was moved to 06.50 without consultation. We were able to rebook a bit but often people can't do this. Very indecent but "abuse" their position.
It is very impactfull. Everybody should do it. we learn a lot. An immersion in world history. Very interesting.
We received confirmation of the pick up time the evening before, around 8pm via email. The private pickup from Park Damient was by Bartak, it was seamless, he was extremely friendly, gave us a great rundown of what to expect on the way to the first stop and even advised us on good local restaurants and cuisine to try. We can’t recommend Bartek enough. Just a heads-up: they move you pretty quickly from the first place to the second, so there isn't time to go into the restaurant, only time to use the toilet but that is to avoid hold ups. Our guide was with us the whole time at both camps. Michel was super informative and kept a nice pace, it was a bit quieter at the second camp, but that was just the nature of the spot as it’s out in the open. Lots of walking involved,we did over 10,000 steps, so if you have mobility issues or struggle to walk too far, this may be a difficult excursion. Overall, a great door-to-door service starting from 9:20 AM and returning around 2:45pm. Would definitely recommend!
A eye opening experience for sure. It just goes to show the depths of cruelty and inhumanity man can stretch to. A well guided tour with Piotr our tour guide.
This excursion was very good. Everyone that can should visit these historic sites. Reminder that we all need to kind to each other. Tour company was very responsive to my inquiries. However, getting the time of pick up was challenging. But that is on the Auschwitz museum moving things around. Tour guide was very knowledgeable but there were not tooany opportunities to ask questions. Overall very good and would highly recommend.
