Wonderful experience. Antonia was a wonderful host and explained everything very well. We had a fun afternoon/evening and ended with a delicious meal made together as a class. I even had leftovers to take home. Seemed like a long time for a class, but it went very quickly. I particularly appreciated the thought and care to make sure my food allergies wasn't a problem. Class size limited to 8, so created a nice and relaxed atmosphere. Well worth the cost for what we learned and the quality of food & wine.
My wife and I booked this cooking class in Athens. Wow! The vast majority of cooking classes we have taken previously have been more demonstration with a little audience participation. This class was hands on. We cooked stuffed grape leaves, Tzatziki, stuffed egg plant and a orange zest cake. All of these were wonderful. Our cooking guide was fantastic and entertaining. We did have a walking tour of th fish, meat and vegetable market which was OK. The only thing that was purchased from the market was pita bread as well as phyllo dough. This is a highly recommend on my part. The cost of the tour was very fair given the experience.
Would highly recommend! The clas was great it ran at a good pace. We made 5 dishes and they were all vegetarian friendly and the food was delicious
We loved our cooking class. Our teacher was so kind and helpful and family friendly m. We cooked delicious meals and got along with all the family’s. We loved having this experience and would do it again in a heartbeat.
Wonderful entre into Greek cooking, learning five dishes in a friendly, professional and hands on manner. Fun as well as educational, and we ate the end product! Great way to spend a morning!!!
The room is up two flights if stairs plus walking through the market. We just looked at the items for sale, we didn’t buy anything for our meal . There were 16 of us in the class. It was so much fun. I never dreamed how much olive oil is used in making the dishes. We made appetizers, main dish and dessert.
Great cooking 🥘 class experience making a number of delicious traditional Greek dishes which we then ate, the delicious dishes we made, together as a group with some lovely wine! Also in the beginning our excellent and humorous instructor Chef Vasia, brought us on a tour of the major food market nearby which was really interesting to see. I highly recommend this experience.
I had such a fantastic experience at this Greek cooking class in Athens! I learnt how to make five delicious traditional Greek dishes, with clear guidance and plenty of hands-on practice throughout. The atmosphere was welcoming and fun. It was a memorable experience from start to finish :)
The pace was too fast, too little networking and I didn’t feel connection with the person running the class. Too much rush and too little warmth between human beings, I felt like attending school class. The experience lacked soul and socializing. I was also at another cooking class in Athens already and the pace was slower and the person running it was much more present and friendly
Hello, sorry to hear that the cooking class you attended wasn't what you had hoped it would be. We created the course so that it will fit in with people's busy vacation schedules and still give a fun experience. I am really glad that you at least got to experience a present and friendly cooking lesson at the other class in Athens you attended though!
We LOVED The Greek Kitchen!! They were so kind, funny, and we really enjoyed the group-style setup of this class. Would definitely recommend!
Thank you so much for this lovely review! I am really pleased to hear that you loved it! We love our cooks too!
