We had an amazing ziplining experience with Jacamar Naturalist Tours. The team was amazing. They were knowledgeable, funny and experts at their job. They made sure we were safe and comfortable at all times. It was our first time ziplining and doing the tarzan swing, but with their help and motivation it was smooth and an unforgettable experience. We even got some amazing photos of the entire experience. We 100% recommend doing the ziplining and tarzan swing with Jacamar Naturalist Tours when you visit La Fortuna, your vacation would be even more awesome. My husband were on a tour with Collette and we went Zip Lining on 5/22/26 and we had a blast. Michael’s Angelo and his crew were AMAZING! I was nervous and they put my nerves at ease. They gave clear instructions and encouragement. The Tarzan swing was so much fun! Never in a million years did I think I would do this. Thank you guys for making this both a bucket list item and a YOLO moment!

We had a great time! Our head guide was Ronny Sandi, and Ivan Torres helped. Ronny spoke really good english, and was hilarious! They kept up a banter with the guests that helped distract the ones who were a little nervous. They spent about 10 minutes going over safety rules, and then we got started. Lucky us, the rain started too. Still, we went with it and had fun. At the last zipline, the rain was so hard it was hard to see, and the wind slowed us down so much that only one of us was able to complete the line on his own (the rest of us had to be rescued by Ronny or Ivan!). Believe it or not, it was still a great time. We did the Tarzan swing as well. That was nerve-wracking for me, because I have a fear of heights, but my daughter wasn't going to do it, so I had to show it was fun, LOL. And after my initial shrieking, it was fun! Another person in our group had a great Tarzan yell, so that was fun to listen to as we stood in the pouring rain! They take photos during your adventure, and we bought a set of those so we didn't have to worry about selfies above the ravines. The only thing I would say is to allow for a lot of time. We met them in downtown La Fortuna, as our hotel was too far out of town, but then they made 3 other stops to pick up, and then drop off, other customers. So that added about 45 minutes that I hadn't accounted for in our planning. All in all, it was about 3 hours, 45 minutes from pick up to drop off.

Creating a fun and supportive atmosphere, especially for guests who may feel a bit nervous at first, is something our canopy team truly enjoys doing. Rain in the rainforest can certainly add an extra layer of adventure. While weather conditions sometimes make the experience more challenging, safety is always our top priority, and our guides are fully prepared to assist whenever needed. It is great to know that even with the strong rain and wind, you still had a memorable and enjoyable time. Congratulations on conquering the Tarzan Swing. Facing a fear of heights and going through with it anyway is no small achievement. We also appreciate your helpful note about timing. Transfers can occasionally extend the overall duration depending on pickup locations, and your comment will certainly help future guests plan their day accordingly. This was a private canopy tour with just our family of 4. The guides made sure our kids, ages 9 and 11, felt safe and comfortable and had a blast. They were very efficient started on time and had transportation waiting on us at the end. They were very knowledgeable about the local wildlife and provided lots of interesting facts along the way. Highly recommend!!!!
Supernice guide throughout the 1,5 hour ride. Felt 100% secure, all of us (incl kids 10 and 13 years old). Picked up at the hotel and got fresh fruit and water afterwards.
It was a great experience. The whole process was very silky, had a great time and had a great experience. The guides were very funny, well equipped and the whole process was very reassuring. There's a section with a view of the volcano, and there's a last section with a fantastic view, above the jungle, flying through the rainforest. The middle swing is also nice, safe, a little exciting but fun.
It's not a lie that Costa Rican zipline is some of the best in the world. Especially when you're guided by the amazing Chris, Carlos, and Andresito! Andresito was the best paparazzi, with Chris and Carlos being incredibly informative and dropping us some Costa Rican slang! The tarzan swing was absolutely a HIGHLIGHT. We saw an incredibly rare King Vulture along with 3 different toucan species. Tuanis mae, pura vida!
