Haliç, forkortelse for Haliç-i Dersaadet, betyder "Istanbulbugten."

An amazing day. Murat our guide was so knowledgeable and flexible including extra things as the grand bazaar was closed on a Sunday. We had plenty of time to see everything. There is a fair amount of walking but with lots of stops along the way this was fine. The extras not included amounted to another 160 euros per couple so factor this in. All the locations were worth the cost and the visit. The lunch on a rooftop terrace was stunning as was the sunset cruise- a perfect way to end a busy day. All guides were helpful and respectful. I would highly recommend this tour.
Thank you very much for your wonderful and detailed review. We are delighted to hear that you had an amazing day on our All in One Day Istanbul Historical Tour with Bosphorus Cruise. It is especially nice to know that Murat’s knowledge, flexibility, and thoughtful planning helped make the day enjoyable, even with the Grand Bazaar being closed on Sunday. This tour is designed to give guests a rich experience of Istanbul’s history, culture, views, and atmosphere in one full day, so we are very happy that you had enough time to enjoy the important locations without feeling rushed. We also appreciate your helpful note about the walking involved and the additional entrance fees, as this is useful information for future guests to consider when planning their day. We are glad that you enjoyed the rooftop lunch and that the sunset cruise provided a beautiful and relaxing ending after a full day of sightseeing. Your kind words about our guides being helpful and respectful mean a lot to the whole Velena Travel team. Thank you again for choosing us and for highly recommending the tour. We hope to welcome you back to Istanbul for another memorable experience.
Our guide Nehed for the day was amazing! Sadly she was really the only good part. Lovely, informative and helpful woman. A disappointment for us was that the bazaar was closed (not notified of that) and the lunch served me with something I was allergic to (despite our guide sending things back several times and explaining carefully my allergy). So we ended up having to cut the day short just after lunch because I became very sick. The cruise that evening was fine but the guide must have said “and the other side is Asia” at least a dozen or more times (it became a joke with my group and the others in our area) and it was just ‘lacking.’ Snacks were provided per booking group and not per person - annoying if everyone likes the same things. Just overall meh.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are very pleased to hear that you found our guide Nehed lovely, informative, and helpful. We are sorry, however, that the day did not meet your expectations. Regarding the Grand Bazaar, please note that it is clearly stated in the tour information that the Grand Bazaar is closed on Sundays. We regret if this detail was missed or not clear enough during your booking process. We are especially sorry to hear about the lunch and your allergy issue. Even though our guide explained the situation carefully to the restaurant, this should not have happened, and we will follow up seriously with the restaurant team. We also appreciate your comments about the evening cruise and snack service. Your feedback helps us review and improve the overall guest experience.
My friend and I had the most wonderful day within Nehed! Thank you so much to our brilliant guide who expertly guided us through all of the beautiful and important landmarks of Istanbul. She took the time to tell us all of the history in great detail and made us feel very welcome in this beautiful city. She took us to a beautiful place for lunch where we had fabulous food, an amazing view fed the seagulls and even saw dolphins and other marine life. It was very sad to part with her as we felt like she became our new friend during the day. If you have limited time in Istanbul, this tour with the lovely Nehed is an absolute must as you get to see everything the city has to offer and more!
Thank you so much for your beautiful review! We are delighted to hear that you had such a wonderful day with Nehed. Fantastic day - everything was handled so professionally from booking, pick up at our hotel, connecting with our guide (who was so good and a real jem), all the great sights, lunch, connecting back to the boat (which was very good) and transfer back to the hotel. We only had one full day in Istanbul and wanted to make the most of our time to experience as much of the city as possible. Our driver picked us up at the hotel and arrived right on time as scheduled. We were dropped off close to the Hippodrome where our tour started with our guide, Fatih. Fatih was a GREAT guide!! He was very friendly, professional, knowledgeable, shared a ton of information, and provided plenty of time to answer all our questions. Our lunch stop was a beautiful little restaurant overlooking the water and a sampling of tasty Turkish dishes for lunch. Afterward we continued with our tour and headed for the Great Bazaar. We wandered several of the many streets in the bazaar with Fatih and took in all the sight, sounds and smells of this wonderful exhibit of culture. We saw many of the beautiful spots in the city that were on our list of "to see" including the Blue Mosque and the Haggai Sofia Mosque. There was an optional entrance fee for the Haggai Sophia Mosque of 25 euros per person which we thought was a small price to pay to see the inside and hear the stories and history of the mosque. After our walking tour, we were transported to the port for our sunset cruise on the Bosphorus Strait. The weather was cloudy, cool, and a bit breezy but there was plenty of areas on the boat to stay out of the cool air. You could also sit in the very front of the boat for an unobstructed view. There were also blankets available to wrap up in to keep warm if you needed them. We were served refreshments and snacks during our boat ride, which was a nice touch. The skies cleared just as we were returning to port and made for some gorgeous sunset pictures! What a perfect way to end the day in Istanbul. We were transported back to our hotel after the tour. It was a long day with a lot of walking but there were opportunities to stop and rest, if needed. What a great experience and would highly recommend this tour to someone that wants to experience Istanbul with limited time!!

Fabulous guide and tour. He was very informative and timed our visits to avoid crowds. The boat ride was wonderful. They came around constantly serving fruits and cheeses. It was a luxurious yacht for our group of 15 which probably holds 150 people. We had a nice lunch at a rooftop restaurant that was very nice.
Dear Guest, Thank you for your kind feedback. We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the tour and appreciated the guide’s thoughtful timing and informative commentary. It’s wonderful that you found the yacht experience comfortable and luxurious, and that you enjoyed the refreshments and lunch with your group.
