AIANY Climate Change Tour i New York

This relaxing tour around the WHOLE island was enjoyable and informative. it was an architecture tour with so much information about the buildings. I wouldn't call it a climate change tour, though our guide did talk about Hurricane Sandy and things New York is doing to protect the city next time. Our guide was so friendly and knowledgeable. I was a tourist and loved learning all about the architecture over time. I went with family who have lived in New York for years and they said it was a wonderful reminder of why they want to be there! You get to see all the highlights.

This was a fabulous experience. I am a native New Yorker and going completely around Manhattan Island with a very knowledgable guide was so informative. And it was fun. Small wood boat. Air conditioned (needed it in August). Very comfortable seating

Wonderful trip, narrator / guide was fantastic, so knowledgeable and personable. It was a long trip and I could have stayed on and done it all again, so interesting. The boat is beautiful and comfortable. Great way to see New York from a different perspective

As a native New Yorker, it was a delight to experience my city from a fresh perspective! Our guide was exceptionally knowledgeable, highlighting fascinating architectural gems I had never noticed before. His rich historical insights and depth of information truly elevated the experience. The boat itself was also incredibly comfortable—making the journey as enjoyable as the sights. I highly recommend this tour to both locals and visitors alike!

Doug was a knowledgeable and informative guide; it is a real insiders view of New York City, informed by his architectural training and depth in the climate change areas. Boat staff were also friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to go deeper.

To me, this was not worth the money. The staff were friendly and boat was fine, but hoping they would point out and talk more about the various landmarks on the tour. They really only pointed out a few. They have a tour specifically for landmarks, but it was three hours and didn’t want to do that one given how long of a chunk it takes out of your day. This was mediocre and wouldn’t do it again. It wasn’t my first option, but given the rainy day, it was one of our only options.

Fabulous tour on a cold crisp morning. Doug - the AIANY - educator was fabulous and spoke for nearly 3 hrs; answered loads of questions about the architecture and history of the skyscrape and area. He really brought the tour to life. Seeing the Manhattan skyline from this perspective was fabulous. So relaxing. The boat is beautiful and the captain and crew were really professional and all the team had a lovely warm aura about them. I cannot recommend this more! It was fabulous.

Fascinating ride. Doug and crew did great job explaining the architecture and history of the islands. Definitely recommending to others.

cruise was extremely comfortable with a great guide and good food available. Many sights were explained and all questions answered

Best excursion we did in NYC. Wish we had done it at start of our trip. It was so informative & views of the Statue of Liberty are the best. Better than helicopter tour & ferry to statten island. So much closer to all the different suburbs of MYC. The speaker was very good & so knowledgable.was small boat so much more intimate & relaxing. Can buy snacks & drinks on board if complimentary drink isn’t enough. Highly recommend & will be back to do another one next time in NYC.
