Agua Clara Canal Lock Center og Colon Fort

Beskrivelse

The only good thing about Panama City was the walk to the canal.very well organized, it is a good experience to see a grain cargo ship pass.. Train to colon Does not work every day q note x page
Aqua Clara Canal system is absolutely amazing. We observed 2 ships pass through the locks. Truly breathtaking.
Agua Clara opened its doors in 2015 and has been the focus of our expeditions on the Atlantic side of Panama. The expansion of the canal along with Agua Clara center has allowed visitors to see and learned the operations of the canal of Panama. We are glad that you booked with us and see the marvellous side of the Canal.
Fantastic service, very quick reservation. Timely pick up from hotel in Panama. Very nice and nice english speaking driver.
Thank you for your review. Our team is always professional and listen to the client needs.
The train ride is an attraction apart. We crossed the country in just over 1 hour. The Water Clear Blocking Center has a large infrastructure to welcome visitors. We had the great happiness of experiencing the engineering of the canal, seeing the cruise of the ships and understanding how everything was done by watching the movie about the history of the canal and its expansion. The restaurant serves delicious food with a beautiful view of the canal.
Thank you to our Brazilian customers. They enjoyed the team we put together and the professionalism of thei job describing this engineering feat.
Very interesting the experience of seeing the great work that revolutionized the story in the same canal past the locks on the boat, an impressive feeling. We hired the tour in Spanish and the guide forgot to give the explanations in Spanish. We had to ask him and remind him. The food on the boat is very poorly organized: many groups agree and there is not enough room to sit down to eat at the tables or for a quarter of the passengers.
It has an unrivalled view and the explanation is clear and concise. The only thing I think bad is that it closes too early and for people traveling from Panama City it is very short the time and also everything closes and we could not take anything despite being only 4 pm and the sun was relentless
I did a cruise ship excursion that included the Agua Clara Lock "Canal Expansion" Visitors' Center, the train ride to Panama City, and return by bus to Colon. The Lock Center has a nice view overlooking the canal locks and Gatun Lake, shows an interesting 12-minute film on the history and future of the canal, and a short nature hike via steps through a patch of rainforest, which I enjoyed. Most people in our group seemed to spend their time in the tiny gift shop or eating snacks. The Panama Canal Railway was built in the mid 19th century, with the current train cars refurbished for tourists. I paid extra to ride in the "Dome Car" with glass windows above, which admitted more light and a greater view (when it wasn't raining.) I ended up moving to the outdoor "smoking" car to take pictures, and that was very enjoyable for a photographer who didn't mind standing. The seats in the "Dome Car" are constructed facing each other across tables, and are very tight and uncomfortable with no leg room if you are over the age of twelve. A small snack box (potato chips, shortbread cookies, raisins) was provided. In Panama City we were treated to a very enjoyable tour including views of the skyline from the causeway-connected former islands followed by a ride through downtown (on a Sunday, so no traffic.) This was a nice excursion for someone like me who wanted to say afterwards that I had done it!
