From the moment I first connected with Kilimanjaro Guru to the final descent from the summit, this 8-day trek exceeded every expectation I had. Climbing Kilimanjaro is something you prepare for mentally, but what you don’t fully appreciate beforehand is how much the right team shapes the entire experience. The organisation was spot-on, the communication clear, and every detail thoughtfully handled. Our guides were exceptional — calm, attentive, knowledgeable, and deeply encouraging. They had an extraordinary ability to read our body language, knowing when to encourage gently and when to slow the pace. I always felt safe, supported and completely confident in their judgment. The daily health checks were thorough, and their professionalism never wavered. The porters and camp crew were nothing short of remarkable. The camps were set up before we arrived, the tents were comfortable, and the meals were far beyond what I imagined possible at altitude — varied, nourishing and beautifully prepared. The warmth, kindness and quiet strength of the team left a lasting impression on me. Summit night was tough — as it should be — but the support I received made all the difference. Reaching Uhuru Peak was deeply emotional, and I can honestly say I felt carried there not only by my own effort, but by the spirit and encouragement of the entire crew. Kilimanjaro Guru delivers far more than a trek. They deliver professionalism, integrity, genuine care, and an experience that stays with you long after you leave Tanzania. My girlfriend and I had an amazing time in our Kilimanjaro Climbing being accompanied by the Kilimanjaro Guru Crew. Throughout the 8 days we never ever had a moment where we didn't receive support when needed or our questions were not answered. Overall the crew did an exceptional effort and great service to make our trip better than we could have dreamed of. Imran and Jamal are great guides with lots of experience in doing the Kilimanjaro Climb. Imran did a great job in consulting which route is the best for our wishes and was flexible when we re-considered. During the trip we always kept good trekking pace and they were picking good spots for breaks and acclimatisatipn. In situations of fear or frustration, Imran and Jamal always had either the right materials (food, clothes) or the right mindset to help us re-focus. They both know every corner, every animal and plant species so you can learn a lot from them. Also we had good fun with them every day which made the longlasting trip a lot easier. What makes the crew special as well are the Porters. The 9 other men accompanying us gave great service. They were always on time with tent building, food preparation and serving. Plus we enjoyed being with these open and funny characters. Especially the chef made this trip great, because the food was nutritious and healthy - just ideal for trekking. In general, they work very well as a team and we had great fun with them learning the Swahili language, enjoying nature or playing cards at the camp. Also, in moments where we needed a rest, they let us alone without any inconvenience. In sum, we can highly recommend doing the Lemosho Route with Kilimanjaro Guru. The route itself brings you Kilimanjaro National Park and its variety very close in a stunning way. The hiking was easy to medium difficult, but with the crew every hurdle of that trip was supported when we wanted. After the trip we had a fantastic lunch to end our journey together.
