Wonderful experience, not to miss!!!
If you’re looking for a snorkeling excursion that’s truly focused on quality snorkeling rather than just checking off tourist stops, this is the one to book. The small group size—only 12 people—made the experience feel personal, relaxed, and very safe. The guides were attentive, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone was comfortable in the water. One of the highlights was stopping at the stingray sandbar, where the crew prepared fresh ceviche, homemade guacamole, and fresh fruit for us while we enjoyed the beautiful surroundings. It was an unexpected touch that made the day even more special. From start to finish, everything was well organized, professional, and exceeded our expectations. If you’re looking for a high-quality snorkeling adventure with outstanding service and a small-group experience, I highly recommend this excursion. It was one of the highlights of our trip!
It was a great adventure! It was an easy taxi ride from the port and the team was great to us- saw fantastic animals and the water was incredible to see and swim in.
We had so much fun on this adventure. Our super friendly & very handsome guide, Laslo, was incredibly helpful & took us to the best areas to see fish, turtles, star fish, baby shark or two , sting rays in the clearest blue ocean. We had a great meal of fresh fruit & fresh Ceviche. I would highly recommend this excursion. Easy to find from our cruise ship & just an amazing day!
Spectacular experience, you cannot miss it
This was amazing and totally an excursion I would take again with El Mayor. The captain and snorkel guides were friendly and informative. The boat ride itself was so fun. But the snorkeling was amazing! We saw a tortuga, tons of rays and starfish. The snorkel instructor even dived to get a picture of a nurse shark for someone on the tour. We like the size of the group- 3 small families (8 total). The ceviche was scrumptious and they had cold drinks and beers as well. I highly recommend El Mayor tour company!
It exceeded all my expectations; Alex and Poncho were wonderful and super attentive, the places were incredible.

The excursion seem a little disorganized. It was supposed to start at 10am but didn’t until 10:20am. Then once we got started, the small boat made a stop to pick up 2 ppl about 15 mins away. The boat was full and was told we had to make another stop to pick another 2 more. About 20 mins later we went to another dock where 4 ppl were waiting. Our boat ppl got on their cell, trying to figure out what to do. It was obvious we could not hold 4 more ppl. About 10-15 mins later we left w/out any of the 4 guests. It’s now 11am. Our actual snorkeling stops were good. We spent about 45 mins at the 1st stop. Saw lots of fish. The 2nd one was just as good. The 3rd one was more of a relaxed stop, not deep, where we could stand in the ocean. This is where the staff gave us beers, sodas and made fresh ceviche. As they were handing out the plates of food, we were told each plate needed to be shared with 2 people!! What? I said nope, and took my owned plate. That is ridiculous! Our tix did not include a “shared” fee. Since we got a late start, we were rushed getting back. We were on a cruise ship and our “all aboard” time was 3:15pm. The excursion was supposed to be 10am - 2pm. When we made the reservation, we knew we had plenty of time to get back. With all the delays, we got worried. When we got back to our dock, we were not given any information on catching a cab. We had to rush around trying to locate a cab. Another couple was on our same ship so we shared a cab back to the ship. Unfortunately, we didn’t have any time to visit the shops and had to head directly back to the ship. I do not recommend this excursion and would not book again.
Very good experience. Jessica is attentive to everything, she changed our reservation date without any problem. Ricardo and the captain of the ship were very attentive, and everything was very well organized. Highly recommended experience
