Really beautiful! The landscapes are truly breathtaking; the trekking can be tiring but manageable; in any case, the staff does everything to assist those in difficulty. Our guide Americo took great care of us and provided us with plenty of useful tips along the way.
I did the 4-day Salkantay Trek with my boyfriend this June, and although it was one of the most challenging hikes I’ve ever done, it was also one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Our guide, Américo, made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. He was incredibly attentive, caring, and always looked after everyone in the group. Without him, I honestly don’t think I would have made it up to Humantay Lake. “Tú puedes, señorita!” was what he kept telling me, and those words gave me the motivation to keep going. The accommodations and food exceeded all my expectations. It’s truly impressive to see the amount of logistics behind this trek and how the team manages to deliver such an amazing experience in such remote conditions. Every meal was delicious and clearly prepared with care, and the snacks provided during the hikes were excellent too. Thank you, Américo, and the entire team, for making this adventure so unforgettable!
It was an excellent experience. Impressive the organization and logistics of Salkantay Trekking, they leave everything very organized and secure. Our guide was Americo, always very attentive, passing all instructions, accompanied us at all times on the trail. Very good!
The experience was amazing. The route is not easy but with Salkantay Trekking everything became easier. Here our only concern is to walk the road, as everything else is handled by the company. The places we visited were amazing, the trip was well organized and the food was very good. Americo was our tour guide, he was amazing providing support we needed all the time.
Americo was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable, patient, kind, and funny. He made sure everyone in our group feel supported. He handled everything so we could just enjoy the trip even down to making sure our photos turned out well. I would recommend this trek and Americo to everyone.
