Annabel our guide on the mid town architecture tour was really fabulous. Her knowledge was perfect and she made the history of the area come alive . It wasn’t just an architectural tour it was a terrific history tour of the origins of the buildings and all the players involved. We learnt about the past centuries of New York and how the buildings that remain were part of its wealth and growth. One of best tours ever!
Annabel’s three-hour Manhattan walking tour was absolutely outstanding. I was so impressed by both the depth of her knowledge and the thought and care she brought to every part of the experience. She was incredibly well prepared and organized, but what made the tour especially memorable was how personal and responsive she made it. Our group asked questions throughout the tour, often taking the conversation in unexpected directions, and Annabel seemed to have a thoughtful, perfectly clear answer for everything. She has a remarkable command of Manhattan’s history and an obvious passion for sharing it. I especially loved her little pop quizzes, where she would ask us to imagine ourselves in the shoes of New Yorkers from different periods, backgrounds and social classes. Rather than simply giving us dates and facts, she helped us think about what it might actually have felt like to live here at different moments in the city’s history. She truly brought Manhattan’s past to life. And then, after the tour, she went even further. Annabel sent me an incredibly detailed email filled with books, articles, documentaries and other resources related to the things we had discussed. It was a wealth of information that will allow me to explore the history and stories from our tour in much greater depth. Annabel went well above and beyond what I ever would have expected from a walking tour guide. I learned an enormous amount, enjoyed every minute of the three hours, and came away even more fascinated by Manhattan than I was before. I’m genuinely grateful that she shared so much of her knowledge and passion with us. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough.

A 3 hour tour with an exceptionally experienced guide who took us to buildings that were unique. The variety of architecture was amazing and quite unexpected. I can’t speak highly enough of this tour.
We met Annabelle outside the Plaza hotel at the appointed time and the 6 of us went inside to start our tour. Annabelle was an excellent guide. She clearly loves the subject matter, has built up a great knowledge of the buildings & surrounding areas, but most importantly she listens to her guests to constantly learn new facts. She presents the buildings’ history from a human interest standpoint which makes it all highly-relatable. The 3.5hrs we spent together flew by. We learnt loads and left wanting more. This tour and Annabelle in particular are top-notch, thank you.
Annabelle was a wonderful tour guide. We appreciated her thorough tour of Midtown Manhattan. Such a wealth of information, and somebody who obviously really loves her city. She was very flexible with the tour and willing to go longer than planned if we wanted. She switched things up just to match our architectural interests. And just a genuinely fun person to talk with.
