Dette er ikke en bustur, 90% af vores ture er 11 personer eller mindre, da vi specialiserer os i små, personlige gruppeture. Dette giver os plads og tid til at tage billeder og have en god samtale! Den personlige, lille tur-tilgang giver rejsende mulighed for at få en personlig turoplevelse i byen. Med vores lille rundvisning er der mulighed for spørgsmål og ikke-scriptede samtaler. En sand oplevelse. Vi har yderligere ture, der rummer store grupper, men denne tur er rettet mod seværdigheder og flydende samtaler om Chicagos sorte start! Guiden tager billeder for dig, mens han uddanner dig om byen og dens historiske beboere. På Chicago Soul House-turen besøger rejsende Chicagos sydlige side og kan se byens stjerners hjem. Modgiftene og historierne bliver fortalt af en, der sang i de samme lounger som Jennifer Hudson, legede med Muhammad Ali som barn og rejste til Chicago under Den Store Sorte Migration.
I denne 90 minutters tur vil turister høre personlig indsigt og anekdotiske historier samt se hjemmene til berømte Chicago-beboere, herunder: Præsident Barack Obama, lærde Michelle Robinson, musikerne Kanye West og Jennifer Hudson, den ærede Elijah Muhammad, minister Louis Farrakhan, bokseren Muhammad Ali, pianisten Nat King Cole, trompetisten Louis "Satchmo" Armstrong, Emmett Till, sangeren Muddy Waters, aktivisten Ida B. Wells og flere.

Steve was knowledgeble, professional, and accommodating. We were fully immerse in the Chicago community, by trying local food spots, gaining knowledge how certain communities came to be, and seeing homes of historical people who came from the Chicago area.
Mr. Johnson gave us a phenomenal tour and truly took care of u throughout the duration of the tour. Will take additional tours with him next visit to the CHI!
Learning the history of Chicago, some of its people, the culture. Enjoyed seeing the homes and various neighborhoods. Saw a side of Chicago we would not have seen through other tours.
I usually don't write bad reviews but this was the worst tour that l've ever been on and I am an avid traveler. Steve is a horrible tour guide who is rude and argumentative. He texted me a time to be ready and showed up over an hour late. Then he had the nerve to tell me that he didn't tell me to be ready at that time and wanted to debate about it. That was the Ist red flag. His driving is awful, he doesn't obey the traffic speeds or laws. We almost got into a car crash twice. He tossed us around in that little mini-van like hot potatoes. I almost threw up. I really should have just taken the loss and got in an Uber back to the hotel. He is hard of hearing and belligerent, he seriously needs to retire himself from the tour business. The “souvenir booklet” is sheets of paper that he printed out. On a positive note we did see everything that was stated as well as things that we didn't have. I told Steve he should be nicer to his customers and he told me he is gonna be just who he is. I didn’t enjoy this mad venture from a very grumpy tour guide.
I would first like to apologize. It’s not a good thing when people don’t like your tour.. we will try to do better. I would like to talk about this Tour.. the guest said that we were late. That’s simply it’s not true.. 50% of our tours help three people or less. When is one party we pick you up at 11 o’clock. As a courtesy if I would guess or saying at a downtown hotel, we pick you up absolutely free."if there is more than one group recite the exact same statement we give every time."we will pick you up between 1030 and 11.. We will call you when we are 10 minutes from your hotel.. we cannot give an exact time when there are multiple pick ups.. and this particular case this customer was the last person we picked up. And we called 10 minutes before we got to their hotel.. We have different Tour vehicles.. there are nine people booked for this tour. We brought our 12 passenger van. For the tour.. This group had three people.. the back row covers 4. The group of three needed an extra room.. they didn’t like sitting in the back. We couldn’t change the seats. To say the least, they were unhappy.. and they stayed unhappy. The Tour is a history tour.. It’s like a four hour class. Four hours is a long time for a tour.. so he tried to be animated, lively, and do things to entertain you and provide information for four hours"it’s a juggling act. 90% of the time is seem to work.. however it can’t work if we have a guest who wants to be Co-tour guide. When I guess ask questions of the tour guide and they answer.. when a person wants to give their opinion to the rest of the guest"it doesn’t work out well. We are not trying to be rude., grumpy, or any such things. We’re just trying to do a tour.. we must have control. We do approximately 250 to a year. This is the first time I felt losing control of a tour.. if you don’t have control, it’s just can’t work. Somehow, without being a jerk we had to regain control of the Tour.. people are allowed to have their opinions. But they can’t constantly share them with the other guests.. the guest said that I’m argumentative. There is nothing to argue about.. I’m just giving information on the tour.. still I apologize. We will do better
