The show runs in several languages on a rotating schedule, so timing depends on the English slot that evening. You take your seat on the terrace facing the floodlit plateau as night falls and the show begins. Light sweeps across the Great Pyramid, its neighbors, and the Sphinx while a deep narrated soundtrack tells the story of the pharaohs who built them, the Sphinx voicing the tale. The monuments shift color and emerge from the dark one by one, a genuinely different sight from the daytime plateau. The seated show runs around 50 minutes; your driver waits to bring you back to your hotel afterward.

Pickup Locations & Times
Please share your hotel name and address when booking. Your driver will pick you up from the hotel lobby approximately one hour before the show start time for the evening transfer to Giza. Modest casual dress is fine, the venue has open seating. After the show, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

My daughter and I had an 11 and a half hour layover in the Cairo airport and decided that a tour would be perfect way to pass the time. When we contacted Egypt Day Tours they were so accommodating on helping us build a tour that fit our schedule. Mina was our tour guide and he reached out to me the day before our tour on what’s app to confirm times and details of the airport pickup. He was extremely knowledgeable and provided a great amount of history and information which really added to the experience! Mina’s goal was very much to ensure we experienced as much as possible and he went out of his way to make that happen! Without our guide my daughter and I wouldn’t have felt comfortable leaving the airport so thank you to Mina for making our time in Egypt so memorable!
