Incredible Day Tour of Luxor’s West Bank Treasures

We visited the Valley of the Kings, Medinet Habu, the Valley of the Nobles, and the Temple of Hatshepsut—all in one day, yet we never felt rushed. A huge thank you to our guide, Ayman, who was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so much fascinating history about each site. He made the experience truly engaging. I also want to give a shout-out to our driver, Amad, who was professional and ensured we navigated between the sites safely and comfortably. The day also included a lunch at a local buffet restaurant, which offered good service. Turkish coffee is really delicious (drinks are not covered just fyi). I highly recommend booking with this team!

Luxor and surrounds at their best

I had booked a private tour of Luxor and surrounds. I was met by my guide, Mahmoud, who proved to be an outstanding person and guide. Early on we established that I had done a lot of reading and research on the history of Egypt, Pharaohs and region. As we talked, our conversation was much deeper than being told a script and I learned and experienced much more. Over the two days with Mahmoud, it was a wonderful and insightful experience. Time limited my stay and I was heading to Cairo. A simple example of this wonderful man and the tour was that he called me after dropping me back at my hotel in the late afternoon. "What was I doing tonight?" I had thought to go back into Luxor and see the temple at night. He said he would pick me up, no argument. So he did and the experience of the temple at night and it's history were amazing, as was the mummy museum the next day - neither expected. As it turned out, the Luxor night was Mahmoud's birthday, and no, he wouldn't accept anything, was just glad to be part of the enjoyment and experience. We have kept in touch over the intervening years and I have seen him persevere through the hard times and stand tall in the good. I highly recommend him and his colleagues in their business and in the knowledge that they only provide great service, amazing experiences with grace and honour.
