Gornergrat är en bergsrygg på en höjd av 3135 m över havet. M. Det ligger cirka tre kilometer öster om Zermatt i den schweiziska kantonen Valais. Gornergrat ligger mellan Gornerglaciären och Findelglaciären och erbjuder utsikt över mer än 20 fyratusen, inklusive Monte Rosa, Matterhorn och Liskamm. Gornergratbahn går från Zermatt (1620 m över havet) till Gornergrat och övervinner en höjdskillnad på nästan 1500 meter. Vid ändstationen (3089 m över havet) på åsens sydvästra spets ligger Kulmhotel, som är det högsta bergshotellet i Schweiz. The weather is clear. There are no clouds on the top of Mount Matthong. Lake Eiffel is the best place to enjoy the reflection of Mount Matthong. Good luck to you.

Tony was our guide for the day and he was excellent!!! Met us on time at the hotel and enjoyed a nice walk around Zermatt explaining about the town, its history and development before taking the train up the mountain. I believe we saw much more and had a great experience as Tony knew where and when to get thru all there was to see and do. Very much worth the time. We would highly recommend!! Viator was very easy to deal with and very professional. A great experience!

We had a wonderful time on our walking tour and gonergrat train! Our guide was so interesting and shared a lot of tips with us for our stay. I would recommend this tour to anyone and our tour was private and so much more of an experience than with a group!

During a day of skiing, we caught this train along the way (free with the pass), which took us to the top of the Gornergrat. The employee even delayed the departure by a few seconds, seeing us run with heavy feet!!! The view is splendid, the weather was great and the ski descent is worth the walk! Landscape to sweep with binoculars! Return to Zermatt, via chairlifts that pass over the chamois! What happiness!
We took a journey from the legendary trains to Switzerland .. We are delighted with it!! This rack train climbs up to 3100m altitude!! fabulous; with breathtaking views!! the sea of ice , up there!! and all the mountains , including Matterhorn , all white everywhere , in July!! it refreshes!! by panoramic train..
