I booked this tour as a solo traveler, and it was absolutely fantastic from start to finish! If you are traveling alone and looking for a comprehensive yet stress-free way to experience Zanzibar, this is the perfect itinerary. The Perfect Pace: I thoroughly enjoyed the incredibly relaxed atmosphere of the entire day. Nothing felt rushed, giving me plenty of time to soak in each beautiful location. Zanzibar City Tour: Walking through the historic streets of Stone Town was fascinating, offering a deep dive into the island's rich history and culture. Prison Island: Meeting the giant tortoises and exploring the island’s historic ruins was a truly unique experience. Sandbank: This pristine stretch of white sand surrounded by turquoise water is pure paradise. It was the perfect spot to unwind, swim, and relax. Delicious BBQ Lunch: The fresh seafood and meat BBQ served right on the sandbank was absolutely delicious, incredibly fresh, and beautifully prepared. Thank you to the entire Ziocean team for an unforgettable and beautifully organized day. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Zanzibar!

We had a fantastic day on this tour. We started at Nakupenda Sandbank, where the guides set up shade, tables and chairs for us. I'd definitely recommend bringing plenty of sun cream, a hat and something to cover your shoulders, as the sun is very strong and there's little natural shade if you decide to explore the sandbank. We spent around two hours there, relaxing, swimming and enjoying a delicious BBQ lunch. Next, we headed to Prison Island, which was by far our favourite part of the trip. Our guide shared the fascinating history of the island before giving us time to explore the small museum, browse the souvenir shops and, best of all, meet the Aldabra giant tortoises. The guides were always nearby to answer questions, share interesting information and even take photos for us. Finally, we returned to Stone Town for the walking tour. Abdullah was an excellent guide - friendly, welcoming and incredibly knowledgeable. He shared a wealth of information about the history, culture and daily life of Stone Town, making the tour both informative and enjoyable. Overall, this was a well-organised tour with great guides and a good balance of relaxation, history and sightseeing. We'd highly recommend it to anyone visiting Zanzibar.
Tour was fantastic from staring to the end. Our driver, Guide and boat captain ware absolutely kind, knowledgeable and amazing. Absolutely highly recommend this company to anyone who visit Zanzibar.
There was some confusion about the meeting point based on the map and quite a delay while others arrived but we had a great time out on the water. We enjoyed a seafood lunch, swimming and plenty of time at the coral atoll and the highlight of Prison Island were the tortoises. The guides were very good and recommend the day tour.
This company got it right! This was my 1st time to Zanzibar and this was the 1st activity of my trip. The company reached out to me as soon as I booked so I appreciated the attentiveness. They were very responsive throughout to ensure I was taken care of. Most important were the tour guides! I felt like family and we had a blast the entire day. I didnt feel rushed and the guys are now like family. I WILL recommend this company to everyone I know who’s visiting Zanzibar.

Everything came together perfectly for a wonderful day: the transfer from the hotel in a clean, air-conditioned car with a punctual driver, the sunshine and stunning scenery, the generous meal, the attentive service from the agency (vegetarian option, French-speaking guide), and our guide Souleymane, who was very friendly and helpful. He explained and showed us each place thoroughly. It would be helpful to mention that the visit to the former slave market is an additional charge so that travelers can budget accordingly. We highly recommend Ziocean Tours and Travel.

My Experiencing with this tour was more than I expected. By 8am the driver was already waiting for us at the reception. We were later join by my tour guide Muhsin was a pleasure to be around. He took us through a Zanzibar history along the entire route and he welcomed every question we had. He guided and gave valuable instructions on how to approach every activity to get the most out of it. He also assisted with the photography and the capturing the most moment of our trip. Guide and driver were also very patient and never rushed. Highly recommended this tour if you want a peace of mind and want it a well curated tour by seeing majority of the island in one day.
