Chauffören hämtar dig från den plats i Krakow som du valde när du gjorde din bokning. Vänta på honom framför hotellets/lägenhetens huvudentré vid överenskommen tid (eller bättre några minuter tidigare).
Transport Krakow -> Zakopane
På väg till Zakopane kommer du att besöka platsen där en av världens mest unika ostar tillverkas. Highlanders - lokala nybyggare, kända för sin manuella produktion av "oscypek". Det är en typ av rökost gjord på fårmjölk. Trähusen där denna ost tillverkas kallas "Bacówki". I en så liten träkoja kommer du att kunna prova olika typer av denna ost med olika grader av rökning, samt lära dig hur den görs.

Att vara i Zakopane, är det absolut nödvändigt att ta linbanan till toppen av Gubałówka (1123 m asl). En modern bil med glastak gör det möjligt för järnvägen att klättra uppåt, och beundrar underbart Tatra-vegetationens uppenbara flervåningsarrangemang med toppar av höga berg i Polen. Det finns många attraktioner på toppen, mest av allt, en underbar panorama över Tatrabergen, en oavbruten utsikt över berget Zakopane som ligger vid foten av berget och möjligheten att koppla av i solskenet. Den 06.10 - 10.10 stängs linbanan Gubałówka på grund av underhållsarbete. Istället kommer vår tur att färdas så högt som möjligt med bil och ta en kort promenad till utsiktsplatsen. Som kompensation får våra gäster en valfri lunchlåda, på vår bekostnad och dessutom blir det glöggprovning. Man tror att Zakopane är hjärtat av Tatrabergen, då är Kropówki hjärtat av Zakopane. Du kommer att besöka denna mest populära gågata, som samtidigt är ett specifikt stadstorg och dess fokuspunkt. När som helst på året är Krupówki Street full av turister som besöker butiker och går till regionala restauranger som ligger längs gatan. På den här gatan kan du hitta många traditionella highlander-artiklar att köpa, som kläder och souvenirer. Du kommer att ha ledig tid att lära känna Zakopane på egen hand. Börja från Krupówki och ta dig tid att hitta andra sevärdheter i staden.

Fine trip that was very well organised and with a great guide. And nice to end the trip with the thermal baths. However too many souvenir-shops for my taste in Zakopane and on top of the funicular ride.

Great experience. Really good admission fee for the day trip. Length of visit about 10.5 hours from 8.25am pick up to 7pm drop off. Really good atmosphere and mini bus ride of about 20 people. Stepan (apologise if spelt wrong) was a great guide and Lucas was a great driver. About 1.5 hour drive out of Krakow then stops to see the wooden house, goat cheese and vodka tasting and then into Zakopane. There is a funicular up to the mountain at Zakopane and then the town to explore it was definitely more crowded at the top of the mountain but a lovely view. The thermal spa was a highlight lots of areas to explore and the 16+ area was so relaxing and chill!

We had heard so much about Zakopane and decided to take a tour rather than go by train. So glad we did! It was door to door service with excellent communication ahead of the pick-up point from our guide and driver Pawel. There were 7 of us in his spacious, immaculate vehicle and three different variations of the tour represented by all 7 passengers. Pawel was courteous, patient, accommodating throughout the day. He had excellent local knowledge and entertained us with facts and anecdotes as we headed towards Zakopane. We had a comfort stop, a stop off at a UNESCO village famed for its wooden houses and we got into one to observe a wood carver at work and another stop at a shepherds hut to sample smoked cheese and vodka! We were brought to the funicular railway in Zakopane and Pawel sorted out our tickets. We hadn’t opted to attend the thermal spa but those who did were given time to enjoy the sights at the magnificent viewpoint overlooking the Tatra mountains before Pawel drove them to the spa. Had we gone by train we would have missed out on so much. The price seemed expensive compared to public transport but we had a wonderful day full of rich experiences and made new friendships with our fellow passengers. We’ve always enjoyed escorted tours on previous holidays in Europe and this one was up there with the best days out at around £67 per head. It was approximately 12 hours from start to finish, in a very comfortable vehicle with an excellent guide. In context, Thousand Miles charged us the same as some golf buggy tours around the Old Town which lasted 1.5 hours! And the same price as a 30 minute trot in a horse drawn carriage around the square! Definitely recommend this trip with this company.

Absolutely lovely full day out. Mirek our tour guide was wonderful, so knowledgeable and explained in very clear english the history surrounding our trip, from visiting the wooden village to the vodka and cheese tasting to the wooden church and then onto Zakopane. A big special thank you to him.
