Fantastic tour! Sharon, our guide, was incredible! She lives in the tiny one street town so her tour was authentic. Tour is small group of 16 or less and that makes a huge difference. We were able to move through the town, windmill, cheese demonstration and clog demonstration with ease. Highly recommend!!
It was unique and very interesting! Our guide Claudia was great, she made meet times clear and made sure we were all there!
We had a wonderful experience. The highlight was our tour guide, Hans. He explained everything in detail and even gave us a tour of his own home! He is the mayor of the village. We even met his dog, which made my daughter so happy. We also enjoyed the sights.
Very informative. Tours of working windmills and old houses. Clog making demonstrations and up close windmill workings.
We had a wonderful time despite the very warm weather. Sharon was an excellent guide and kept even the younger kids entertained. Would definitely recommend this trip and company.
We had 16 in our group (I believe up to 20 qualifies as a "small" group). We lucked out with our tour guide, Han, who happened to be the local mayor of Zaans Schans. He even invited us over to his house in this idyllic town and gave us a tour of his heritage home. He gave us a lot of interesting information about the town and his personal opinions. I appreciated his frankness but perhaps not for everyone. We had a cheese presentation, went through a windmill, and watched a clog demonstration. Had a great time! My only complaint is that although this is considered a small group, if you're at the back, it is difficult to hear during the walk through the town which is super-crowded (3 million visitors a year!).
The entire small person personal tour was a must for the 1st timer to Amsterdam.. Sharon our tour guide was an absolute gem
Easy walking tour of village near Amsterdam with amazing views of windmills and excellent description of village offerings. Make sure to have funds for pay toilets. We enjoyed it tremendously!
We took this trip during a heatwave, quite unusual. Read all the information and review the map provided by Viator for your meeting location. The train station information center was absolutely of no use, unless you wish to get your exercise walking to another location that has no clue as well. *Read all the info provided in your booking and look at the map provided. Yes, it is a historical trip with fantastic demonstrations, including walking thru a working windmill. Great side trip for anyone interested.
Santiago, our guide was amazing. He was very informative and knowledgeable. We decided to take the trip the day before and loved the experience. We would definitely use Viator services again.
