Vi kommer att gå till torget där du kommer att se de första två framstående landmärkenna, Falkenhaus ett värdshus byggt på 1700-talet med en härlig rococo fasad. Strax norr om marknaden ligger Marienkapele (Marias Kapell) med sin välbevarade gotiska arkitektur och vackra statyer gjord av den berömda tyska skulptören Tilman Riemenschneider. Det är en kort promenad därifrån till rådhuset och den stora barock fontänen, "Vierröhrenbrunnen", från denna punkt kommer vi att korsa den gamla bron över huvudfloden vilket också är en utmärkt bildmöjlighet. (Tillvalet på denna tur är Marienbergs fästning över floden, som är tillgänglig med kollektivtrafik eller till fots. Det handlar om en 20 minuters promenad upp till fästningen om du föredrar att gå och därifrån får du en fantastisk utsikt över Main floddal och stad. På vägen ner, korsar bron, går vi fram till Residenset, ett storslagna barocktortpalats. Beläget under residenset är Staatlicher Hofkeller. Den gamla kungliga domstolen vinkällare som erbjuder några av de bästa vinerna i regionen, en handel denna stad är känd för!

Elizabeth was excellent. Very knowledgeable, good communication, answered all questions, highly recommend.
Since we unfortunately had 2 hours train delay we could not use the full 2 hours of the tour. Nevertheless, Ms Nickel took a little longer to show us some of Würzburg. Her stories were very refreshing and entertaining. Furthermore, she and a few more tips on what else we can do. On the whole, we really liked the tour. Thank you for this

It was more like share a drink. No AH moment even from a distance along river banks. There was a spot I saw clamped of locked keys.

Stefanie was fantastic. We have traveled to a lot of countries with various guides and she was by far the best. She enjoys people and has guided for over 20 years. It showed. She provided in detail background history of the famous sights. We had great conversation throughout the tour. She knew what would be open, such as cathedrals etc. She packed a lot in; 3 hours worth of content in 2 hours. She made the best use of our time. It was truly an enjoyable experience. Our guide, Stefanie A, was the BEST walking tour guide I've EVER had. She is classy, well-spoken and eloquent and a beautiful story teller! I could listen to hear speak all day. I was traveling with a group of 12 students from a community college in Texas and met my German exchange student in Würzburg with his family who speak limited English, but because of her slow, clear and beautiful communication, they were able to understand most of the tour in English! She is so regal and such a joy and I feel so blessed we got to have her twice (part one on our arrival day in Würzburg, and then again on Sunday, December 15th. Thank you for such a wonderful tour, Stefanie, and for helping me pick the perfect wine in the Residenz Gift Shop! I shared it with friends when I got home to Texas and it was delicious!
