In the Craft Center where the workshop is held, you have the opportunity to know other crafts in the area: tuya wood, raffia, embroidery, etc. The carpet weaving workshop is very interesting to know the Berber working technique, but, logically, it only gives time to start. But it is a very relaxing activity and allows you to know all the effort behind these beautiful carpets
This is a great cultural experience. It really makes you appreciate the time and artisanship that goes into making a Berber rug. However, it was difficult to communicate with the instructors and you definitely don’t have enough time to complete the project. The workshop was lovely and centrally located.
It ended up being just the two of us and we had an excellent time with Taoufiq. We enjoyed the workshop and learning about Moroccan culture, it felt more like hanging out with a friend. Although he didn’t speak much English we managed to communicate
The teacher was very kind and he created a relaxed atmosphere. The lesson is held in one of the store of women's and men's cooperatives of art and craft, in a very nice building with shops and labs. They proudly explained how helpful the cooperative project is and it was a nice immersion in the local culture. I could learn the basics of the rug frame and bring my little piece of carpet at home. It has been a really nice experience and I'm glad I participated
