A delightful afternoon, with every detail flowing smoothly. From reservation, to communication with the Entourage Office staff Hector, and driver Oscar who got us to the marina 15 minutes away, and then back to the restaurant where our dinner was ready, and then our knowledgeable guide Palma who made it safe and fun for both an 11 year old and a 76 year old, and everyone between, and finally, Edgar, who maneuvered all 300 HP around the Marietas Islands with skill! And yes, we saw whales!
Amazing personal experience with Sayulita Entourage. Genuinely every aspect of the tour was well thought out and enjoyable. Edgar our captain and Palma our guide made the trip so much fun. They were both funny and knowledgeable. We did the whale watching tour with snorkeling at Marietas island. We whale watched to and from which was absolutely incredible. Our guides both knew the best spots but also knew to keep a respectful distance. They really made all the efforts for us to see whales each direction! We cruised around the island seeing amazing rock formations and cool birds! And the snorkeling is just magical. The coral reefs we're just so amazing with life. Our group size is perfect also!! No more than 8 people. And ended with a wonderful delicious dinner.
Amazing day of whale watching, snorkeling and natural history of the area. Guide - Manuel is a wealth of information, has a great sense of humor, and makes the day super fun!
We had such a great time on the whale and snorkel tour with our friends! Very nice boat with lots of power! Manuel was our guide and he was one of the best guides we've ever had on an excursion. Very funny, professional, and knowledgeable, making sure our experience was first and foremost on the top of his list. Made the half day of adventure amazing. Edgar was our captain. Extremely friendly, and although not able to communicate in English very much, did his absolute best to communicate and make us comfortable and enjoy our time. He even shared some fruit from his lunch with my wife who stayed on the boat due to some sea sickness. Very kind and professional. We took the ride back to Sayulita for lunch and I'd have to say that the fish tacos our group enjoyed were some of best we've ever had. All in all would 100% recommend Sayulita entourage and will be joining them again for other activities on our next trip to Punta de Mita. Next time adding hidden beach to the list!
The whale watching was so much more than we expected. Palmer and Edgar were a great team, Palmer was a great story teller/guide and Edgar was obviously a super experienced captain and cracked lots of jokes. We had pretty bad visibility while snorkelling but Palmer made it a positive experience. Although the tacos and beer for dinner were really nice, we would have appreciated snacks and fruit on the boat instead. The trip would flow a lot better too - the dinner felt a little strange afterwards. Another recommendation is to carry a few warm jackets aboard for after snorkelling. A few of our group were quite cold afterwards and a jacket isn't the first item you pack going on a snorkelling trip. Thankyou :)
Hi there, I am glad you had a great time despite the poor ocean conditions. Thanks for your feedback and suggestions, we will try to insist more when reminding our guests to bring towels and jackets; we sometime leave it to everyone judgment and take for granted everyone would take their warm clothes for a boat ride out in the ocean on a winter afternoon. I am sorry the dinner didn't suit you but meals all together after the excursion have always been part of our adventures, a touch up meant to have everyone sitting all together around the table sharing good food and toasting to the great day together. I understand no one can experience it the same way but we need to work around the majority who really likes that part and would find snacks and fruit on the boat cheap instead. Sorry we didn't cater to you the way you expected, thanks for joining us.
We highly recommend the Sayulita Entourage whale watching, snorkeling trip. It was perfect. Staff was across the board friendly and knowledgeable. Palma was our main guide and he loved showing us all he could while snorkeling. He was fully committed to make sure we had a great experience. He loved all questions, the more challenging the better. Our boat captain was also quite helpful and worked hard to keep us with whales. The boat was in top shape as well as the shuttle. Really this was a bargain and the highlight of our trip. We saw a lot of fish a lot of whales and had a great lunch to finish it all up. What more could you ask for!?! Loved it.
I also did Hidden Beach! This tour was spectacular! Everything was so well put together from booking trip, check-in, car ride, boat trip, and lunch. The snorkeling was really great with lots of fish. We saw lots of whales. I would highly recommend adding the Hidden Beach. Our guide was great and so informative and really cared that everyone was having a good time. The lunch when we got back was great. This tour group and specifically this tour is great. Highly Recommend!
What a perfect day! My interest was not the snorkeling, not the Marietas Islands, and not even partying 😬. All I wanted was to see a whale…and wow, did we see whales! I’m not even kidding when I say we saw whale action at least 20 times. It was thrilling! I did the Tuesday Jan 21 afternoon tour, the whole experience was great- the short drive from Sayulita to Punta de Mita was interesting to drive through the little villages, and especially Manuel and Hector, the two guides on our boat. So knowledgeable, Manuel was an endless source of interesting facts about whales, the Marietas islands, and on all the birds and vegetation that live there. I didn’t snorkel, as it was a little bit chilly, but others did, and they saw dozens of brightly coloured fish of all kinds. I kind of regret not snorkeling, but I was a cold. Yes I’m a big baby. I was solo but joined a fun and friendly group from around the USA- Bailey, Anna, Coral, and the others I enjoyed chatting with and sharing the thrill of seeing whales in action. I opted out of the dinner as I had to meet up with my own party, but the meal options looked good. I felt safe 100% of the time, and I will definitely choose Sayulita Entourage to do my whale watching excursion when I return next year. I highly recommend!!! ¡Gracias mis amigos !
What can I say, if you're in Sayulita and want a really cool experience with some amazing guides, then Sayulita Entourage is definitely the place to deliver that. From the moment we arrived at the dock and met Palma our guide and Edgar our boat driver, you immediately feel like something special is about to happen. The knowledge and experience they shared along with their wit and humor as we came upon a group of whales that much more fun and exciting. As we watched two males fight over a female, Palma gave us so much information about what was going on with a flair for storytelling and drama as Edgar always seemed to maneuver the boat so that we were always in the best position to see it. After what was an unbelievable experience that I won't ever forget, we went to the Marietta Islands to snorkel at a preserve. Palma again took great care to make sure we were not only safe as we snorkeled along cliff sides, but was so knowledgable about the fish and other sea creatures that we were able to see as he guided us. After the snorkel tour, Edgar deftly guided the boat into caves and lagoons to let us see some of the amazing sites the Marietta islands had to offer. It was an crazy, fun, amazing day that will definitely have me and my girlfriend come back to do another tour with Sayulita Entourage on our next trip out there.
We signed up for the snorkeling tour but were treated to the best whale watching of our lives - got lucky and watched bulls fight over a female. There were whales everywhere, and so close to the boat. Our tour guide, Palma, was super knowledgeable and and our captain, Edgar, was a badass navigator. Definitely a high point in our trip to Sayulita!
