Varje år reser de största varelserna på jorden söderut hela vägen från Alaskas Berings hav för att hitta rätt vattentemperatur för fortplantning. Detta magnifika evenemang börjar i januari och slutar i april; det är en av de mest fantastiska vilda livsupplevelserna någon kan uppleva. Medan den 5000 mil långa gråvalsvandringen från Alaska huvudsakligen har ett öde vid Magdalena Bay som ligger 270 mil norr om Cabo San Lucas, har de också andra öden och syften vid Kaliforniens golf och andra delstater i Mexiko som ligger mer söderut. Grey Whale Watching på Los Cabos är en daglig fröjd under säsongen! Rancho Tours tar dig runt Cabo San Lucas-bukten och vid Stillahavssidan ombord på en lyxig pantoon för att möta dessa majestätiska varelser som passerar kusten. Knölvalar finns det också gott om. Last minute reservation due to cruise line changing ports. Only 3 customers on board a nice boat that could have held 10. It was not a 'trimaran' pontoon boat as shown in pictures - much nicer than smaller 'tourist' boats we saw. The marina was at a different location from where our cruise ship tendered, so we used their pickup shuttle which was convenient. We joined a group of ships following 2 adults and 1 juvenile surfacing for air every 5 minutes. Our driver was very respectful by not crowding too close to the whales. February 28th was near the end of the migration - earlier in the year/month might have been a bit better. Unfortunately, we didn't see any 'breaching' activity. At the end of the trip, the boat captain offered to drop us off at a beach a 5-minute walk from where we tendered. He stopped in knee-deep water for us to walk to the beach. We got to enjoy the beach for an hour, and not pay for a shuttle/taxi back to the cruise port.

My daughter and I went Whale watching with Benjamin on their pontoon boat today. He was the best captain and we had a wonderful time. He was so informative and we saw a a lot of whales. Everyone that worked there was so wonderful. I did not want to get on one of those little boats and have to wear an orange life jacket. This was a really comfortable boat, we were protected from the sun and the staff was amazing! Thank you all!
