Upptäck Wellington från ett annat perspektiv på en 90 minuter lång kommenterad hamnkryssning ombord på Ika Rere, södra halvklotets första helt elektriska passagerarfärja. Denna avslappnade kryssning utforskar Te Whanganui-a-Tara/Wellington Harbour med kommentarer om stadens sjöfartshistoria, hamngeologi och viktiga landmärken. The harbour cruise was a relaxing and lovely way to orient ourselves to the city and its surrounds. The commentary was informative, and punctuated the cruise at apt intervals, the crew members were friendly, making an effort to engage with the passengers. Being able to travel on the upper deck or in the warmer, enclosed cabin gave good options, especially when sighting the local wildlife. Highly recommended!
The service provided, the commentary, the historical aspect of the bird sanctuary the whole experience was something that I willingly promote. Scenery is fantastic. Well done to all involved.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday afternoon cruise around the harbour. Always fun seeing a harbour city from the water. The fully electric ferry is wonderfully quiet, making it easy to hear the commentary.

We were lucky to have a sunny, low-wind day. Hearing about the history of the harbor, how the earthquakes changed and reshaped the city was fascinating. The scenery was beautiful. But don’t forget sunscreen, even for late afternoon!
