Vad betyder minnewater? Detta är det holländska namnet på sjön, som består av två holländska ord: minne, som betyder både "vanligt" och "kärlek", och vatten, som betyder "vatten". Den mest korrekta översättningen skulle alltså innebära att man översätter ordet minne som "gemensamt", eftersom dessa var "gemensamma vatten, gemenskapsvatten, allas vatten" eftersom det var där den gamla hamnen i Brygge låg, en plats nära kopplad till staden och medborgarnas dagliga liv.
Beguinage är ett av de mest representativa komplexen i Brygge, ett förspel till vad du hittar i denna magiska stad, en miljö förankrad i medeltiden nedsänkt i ett hav av lugn. Dessutom är det deklarerat av UNESCO som ett världsarv.

Jag brukade gå till det här stället sent på eftermiddagen eller efter middagen. Our tour guide was fantastic. He had a great sense of humor, and he gave us a lot of history and myths. It was the perfect length and we got to see all the major sites.
Tourvtime was changed and we did not get notified until it was too late to change. Notification came thru app which we did not see, as we were continuing to get emails reminding us of our tour at the original time.
Our guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. She did a great job of keeping everyone engaged and moving along. I really enjoyed the tour.
Fabulous tour. Well organised. Our guide Leah (Sorry if I misspelt the name) was so good. She was funny, informative and very engaging. We actually dislike tours with too too many facts and figures. Hers was informative but so enjoyable.
Leah was great. Very knowledgeable and some good on topic jokes along the way. Easy paced walking tour of some of the more interesting areas of town.
Excellent tour of Brugge, with a very informative and animated guide Maria. The experience was spoilt by the tour operators refusal to refund my wifes ticket who badly sprained her ankle that mng. As there were over 22 ppl on the tour, this smacked of pure greed by the operator
We had a brilliant walking tour of Bruges while visiting Belgium on our family cruise. Our guide Leia was fantastic, really friendly, knowledgeable and made the tour interesting and fun for the whole family. Bruges is absolutely beautiful, with its canals, cobbled streets and amazing historic buildings. The walking tour was a great way to explore the city and learn things we would never have discovered on our own. A fantastic day and definitely one of the highlights of our cruise. Would highly recommend! 🇧🇪⭐
Outstanding! Informative and humorous! We had a 2-hour walking tour starting at the train station. We had also purchased the boat trip and the beer tasting. After the walking tour, we had until 17:30 to take the boat and until 18:30 to do the beer tasting. Everything was close together. For the beer tasting, we were given 4 coins to trade for a beer of our choice. Super fun! Friendly people!
We were somewhat surprised that we would be joining a tour group that had taken a bus in from Brussels. The group was so large that it was divided up into two groups, which was good. However, the guide seemed fairly knowledgeable but was too quiet when speaking. We missed a lot of what was said because he did not speak up, even when I asked him to repeat himself. I think a little Google research before going to Bruges and walking around at your own leisure would have made for a better experience.
Great tour, Lei was our guide she was very friendly & explained everything. We had the canal & beer tasting tour & beer tasting was excellent & could do these 2 things in your own time which was great
