I denna turné kommer du att ha en chans att besöka Gunkanjima Island, slagskeppsön genom att kryssa från Nagasaki stad. Gunkan-Jima: Ett världsarv som stödde Japans modernisering I Nagasaki Prefecture är åtta industriarv, inklusive Battleship Island (Hashima Island Coal Mine), registrerade som delar av världsarvet "Industrial Revolutionary Heritage of Meiji Japan: Iron and Steel Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, and Coal Industry. Gunkanjima (軍艦 島) är en liten ö som ligger cirka 20 kilometer från Nagasaki hamn. Fram till 1974 tjänade ön som en kolgruva, och mer än 5000 invånare kallade den 480 meter långa, 150 meter breda ön hem, vilket resulterade i den högsta befolkningstätheten i historien registrerad över hela världen.

- Paraplyer (både regn och solsken) är inte tillåtna på båten. Regnrockar kan köpas i receptionen och ombord för 200 yen, men ta med egna om du kan förbereda dem i förväg. Vi tillåter inte heller parasoll, så bär gärna hatt, solskyddsmedel och andra åtgärder för att skydda dig mot värmen. Klackar är inte tillåtna, och endast platta skor är tillåtna i land.
- Våghöjd: Som tidigare får du inte gå i land om våghöjden överstiger bestämmelserna.
- Presentera löftet att gå ombord på fartyget med din signatur och betala ytterligare 310 yen per vuxen, 150 yen för ungdomar och barn för Nagasaki City för att gå ombord på ön.
- Besök Gunkanjima-museet i cirka 1 timme (12-13:00) och sedan börjar ombordstigningen 13:20. Först till kvarn gäller (sittande), så kom till fartyget runt 13:00 för att säkra din plats.
- Museet kan besökas igen efter avstigning från fartyget. Endast 1 återinträde. Varje person kommer att få ett besökskort. Turnén slutar klockan 17.00, så turen måste vara klar då.
- Efter bokningen skickar vi panten till dig via e-post. Det är bättre att komma med ett skriftligt löfte om du har tillgång till en utskriftsmiljö. Du kan också fylla i den på plats.
- Det finns en möjlighet att du inte kan landa till ön på grund av havets tillstånd. I så fall kommer vi att erbjuda dig en present som ett alternativ.
- I detta paket ingår ingen audio Guide, men om du föredrar kan du hyra en lokalt på dagen mot en extra avgift.

We were not able to make landfall this time due to the high waves, but the explanations given by the tour guide on the boat were clear and firm and easy to listen to, and we learned a lot about history and it was a great time. It will be difficult to join the tour again next time as it was from a distance, but I hope that as many people as possible can land on Gunkanjima and feel the strong and alive people who lived there.
This tour of less than 3 hours will take you to an island in the shape of a warship. Wonderful to see. Abandoned since 1974. Until then, coal was mined. Now a ghost island which also served as the location for James Bond's film Skyfall. If you are in Nagasaki definitely recommended
The museum was surprisingly good giving the history of the island. The boat trip was very well organised and even though I had trouble with the audio it did not stop the enjoyment. The island itself was amazing.
If the sea is a bit rough and you cannot land its a shame but its still worth the trip. Unfortunately because its a Japanese language tour you pay 1000yen rental for a headset that you can barely hear over the local commentator in Japanese.
An audio guide and headphones are offered with English text (for reading along) and simultaneous English explanations; however, the Japanese information from the (incredibly loud) speakers in the outdoor and indoor areas completely drowns out the audio guide, making it useless. Tour on the island: exclusively in Japanese, English is only used for instructions regarding behavior and general information. That is unfortunate and was not known beforehand. Overall, one can hardly take in these impressive ruins of a coal mining town that has been uninhabited and completely decayed for over 50 years; there is neither time nor peace for that :(
Was expecting more. The tour time says 12pm yet we did not board the boat until 1.25 so lots of waiting around if you do not want to see the museum. They do not cater for non Japanese speaking tourists; although booked for English we had to purchase a device to listen to pre recording in English. Do not expect to roam and see all the island you are limited to 3 viewing areas. Boat across was nice and staff were friendly.
Didn’t get to walk around- was cancelled in the morning. Sea conditions was not great so my two family didn’t attend on the day and no cancellation option. As you have to pay in advance by a week it was difficult to know weather. Would recommend only booking on the day at the museum. The island itself was impressive but I had a seat under the stairs and couldn’t see much and you were not able to stand up so a bit of a waste to be honest. Overall experience was okay. Staff were helpful.
The trip is worthy as you can go behind the walls and into the “city “ . Part of the glitch about the instructions of getting ticket from the museum reception can be more clear to avoid confusion
The sea felt a bit rough, but anyway we were able to land on the island! It was certainly a great daytrip and I would recommend it to anybody interested in combining a boat trip with the eerie island!
Great site to visit, however choose a different provider as they did not provide what they promised, and English speaking guide.
