We had purchased the Universal Express Pass and decided to change to VIP Experience, A costly error however "Best Decision" we made. From the Red-Carpet arrival to the VIP room where we met Dracula and Marilyn Monroe, great coffee and nibbles on offer. We headed out with our guide Kevin Brooks who kept us entertained at every turn. We boarded the VIP bus, and it was wonderful to drive around the studios and buildings you see in movies and sitcoms. The real backstage pass very informative. VIP Line to the rides being able to walk in ahead of everyone else was pretty cool. "Fast & Furious" a new ride opened in September 2026 the best ride by far, were you drift and spin in the air. Then off to an all you can eat buffet lunch in Paris "Moulin Rouge" restaurant. VIP experience goes for approx. 6hrs where you have your guide the whole time. Kevin looked after his group of 12 very well and held our bags while we did the rides. Would definitely recommend the VIP experience to all.

Studio tour was good but not as historical in content (museums) as the Paramount or Warner Bros tours. Rides were varied and unique but be ready for extreme jolting and upside down ride experiences. Very packed even in off season so getting in front of others through our VIP pass was great. Walked over 5 miles even with the trolley transport for the studio tour. Horrible experience with VIP parking. When the car was returned, I found a dent in my rental car door caused by another door. After they reviewed a video of the car on entry that they said was not conclusive, magically >20 minute later they came up with a attendant card showing a dent on their entry inspection. Why not the first data to present? And they did not tell me of that damage when they accepted the car. I do not believe the validity of that card. Fortunately my rental car company decided the dimple type door dent was not large enough to charge me. But this ruined and tainted my whole experience there. I recommend taking photos of your car before leaving it with the VIP parking attendants.

Definitely worth the money. Our tour guide Laura was great and the food, which is included in the tour, is wonderful. We really enjoyed our day!

pay more - get more. VIP package was everything you ever wanted. queue cut on all the rides. An amazing tour guide of the movie sets with lots of inside stuff on where and how movies were made. VIP restaurant for lunch. more rides. best seats in the high action-packed stunt show. after yout guide you still get queue cuts to all the rides. fabulous time.

The experience is fantastic a guide accompanies us all day, a wealth of information, a real time saver for the attractions. The buffet-style meal is varied and good. From the welcome until the end of the Day the VIP concept is there. A special mention to the 24/7 Viator assistance that saved my Universal Studios experience following the loss of my phone and the forgetting of all my login credentials. I was able to retrieve my tickets from another email account. Thanks again.

Great tour. I loved seeing parts of the studio that normally would be off limits. Skipping lines for the rides made everything easier. The food served was delicious. Definitely not park food. I was disappointed that the animal and special effects shows no longer exist.

Without the assistance and experience/expertise of our tour guide Sara, I would not have gotten my family of 4 through as many attractions and experiences as I did. Her knowledge and understanding of the entirety of Universal was unmatched by anything I’ve ever experienced with guided tours. Sara, combined with another Universal expert guide Tony, turned our day at Universal Hollywood into something that myself and my family will never forget! If you are thinking about doing the VIP experience at Universal Hollywood and are concerned that maybe the value isn’t there, it is 100% worth it. Book early. Our tour left at 8:15am and we absolutely crushed the entirety of the park, twice over by the time the day was done. Again, huge hats off and thanks to Sara and Tony. I genuinely believe that if we had any other people guiding us through our day that it would have been vastly different. If I were to do this all over again, I would not change a thing. If I were booking this experience again, I would request Sara or Tony by name. You know when you work alongside someone or see someone working and you just think to yourself, this person is absolutely killing it at their job? That’s Sara and Tony, they are extremely exceptional at what they do. 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

f you're debating whether the VIP Experience is worth the upgrade, it absolutely is. From the moment we walked through the dedicated VIP entrance — bypassing the general admission lines entirely — it was clear this was a completely different level of park experience. We were welcomed into a private lounge with a full breakfast spread, comfortable seating, and none of the early-morning crowd chaos. Our tour guide was the real highlight. Knowledgeable, funny, and clearly passionate about the studio's history, they walked our small group (capped at just 12 people, which makes a huge difference) through areas regular guests never see — working soundstages, the New York backlot, and props from decades of film and TV productions. The behind-the-scenes access to the Studio Tour, including extended stops most guests only glimpse from a distance, made the whole park feel new again even though we'd visited before. Front-of-line access to every major ride — Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, Jurassic World, Revenge of the Mummy, Fast & Furious — meant we spent our time actually experiencing the park instead of standing in line. Reserved seating at shows and a relaxed pace throughout the day made it feel more like a curated experience than a theme park visit. It's a splurge, but for anyone who wants to see Universal Studios Hollywood done right, this is the way to do it. Highly recommend.

We booked the experience via Viator because it was the only option to have a free cancellation up to 24 hours prior to the experience. Luckily there were no surprises on our flight so we could attend as planned. From VIP valet parking onward, everything went smoothly and without hiccups. The experience itself is amazing but seeing the waiting queues I can’t imagine it makes fun when you wait in line for more than 40 minutes. Even the express lines the waiting was considerable, but with the guide we could skip ahead sometimes. After a few rides, then came lunchtime. Lunch at the “French“ restaurant was delicious buffet style, and basically all you can eat, then came the tour of the Universal Studios, which was very entertaining and informative as well. Our guide Sean was amazing and on the tour of Universal Studios, he was joined by Angela. They both made the experience memorable, funny, and engaging.
