Vintage Hanoi - Street Photography Tour

Beskrivning

Absolutely great day- i had a private tour to get frames of hanoi- i got really nice pictures because of the perfect Guide Mike. We met a lot of locals, he explained me a lot about by camera setting- all over the perfect experience.
We spent two wonderful days with MomentLives, where we did 5 of their proposed itineraries ;o) . Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and took us to unique places that offered a true glimpse of Hanoi, far beyond the usual tourist routes. The whole experience went further than photography, providing a genuine immersion into daily life that naturally led to meaningful images. With Momentlives, photography, culture, and storytelling came together beautifully throughout our journey. Everything was perfect and exceeded our expectations. We left with lasting memories, both human and visual. I highly recommend MomentLives to anyone seeking an immersive, thoughtful, and authentic experience. A special thank you to Son for his genuine kindness — he is a beautiful human, and I’m so grateful to have met him.
For context, I am fairly well traveled. My photography tour with Moment Lives was the best photography trip I’ve ever made. Our tour guide, Son, was a fantastic photographer, shared cultural knowledge throughout the trip and an amazing person. Vietnam is an amazing country and Moment Lives ensures you see and understand the best of it and all of it. You will not be disappointed.
We spent a day with Momentlives, going to the Fish Traps village in the morning and to an older area of Hanoi, with communist era housing, street markets etc in the afternoon. Our guide James was excellent and very knowledgeable about both his country and photography. His relationships with local people made it easy for us to interact with them too and get great shots. The day was the highlight of our time in Vietnam and we would not have got to either of the places we chose without Momentlives. Many thanks to Mike too for his help arranging the trips.
A tour that may not catch your eye at first. But do this tour for many reasons. It brings you to a real neighborhood, people going about their life’s. Buildings with great stories. For photos pure natural environment. For those without a camera great history and contact with those that live there. Son has a way of bringing you closer to the essence of Vietnam. With real nfo. Good, bad and everting between. Love the tour
Thank you boss for your kind comment. I am very happy to learn that you LOVED shooting in the vintage neighborhood of Hanoi. I believe anywhere you are with your camera, amazing shots are waiting to be generated. Can't wait to see you again and shoot with you again, either in Vietnam or the USA.
This was my second tour with Momentlives. Last year I took part in two half day trips to The Rice Paper Making Village and The Vanishing Craft of Making Fish Traps. The half day tours were enjoyable and prompted me to sign up for a longer tour this year, The Iconic Beauty of Central Vietnam. An astounding tour, more than just a photography trip, Mike is knowledgable about the places we visited such as the fishing communities, salt fields, coracle making, mat weaving , and breathtaking scenery. Mike has access to places ' off the beaten track' not normally accesable to tourists . A memorable experience , not possible to put into words, you have to do the tour.
Thank you Allison for your sweet review. It is always a pleasure and a lovely experience meeting, talking with you. I am so happy to learn that you loved the "Iconic Beauty of Central Vietnam" and it was truly a wonderful time with you and the group. Can't wait to see you soon. Ps: I'll print the shot and give to the workers in the salt pan on your behalf.
