Resplan

We got up early and took an uber to the out of town location. Be aware that the stables are not downtown. We started the day meeting the horses, we were able to see them all, pet them in their stalls, and see the entire place. The guide told us the history and how the fiakers work in Vienna. He did so in English and German. We were able to feed the horses and the kids loved it. We asked questions and learned a lot. Then we took the carriage ride into town. This part took over one hour however the views are nothing special and there is no explanation/guide if you’re not expecting that. For that reason, we decided to extend our rise with a 40-min tour in downtown Vienna to see the sights. Here, we got the guided explanations of the sights.
The tour of the stables was helpful, but as we required english we had a far shorter explanation and less stories. We didn’t mind but if you don’t speak German you may want to be aware. The driver of our carriage was very capable and our mother-daughter pair of horses were fantastic. Highly recommended outing.
Incredible that they still have horses in the city; it is sad, and the smell of manure is everywhere... no one from the municipality sees this.
Dear Jose,, we are very sorry to receive a review that is unrelated to our tour itself – unfortunately, we couldn't find any booking. If you could tell us when you visited us, that would be very helpful. Otherwise, we would be happy to invite you to come and see our horses and team for yourself, to have any questions answered. Your, Riding Dinner Team
My last day in Vienna ended with a tour of one of the oldest stables in Vienna, a family run operation. A tour of the stables, then the carriage ride through the streets of Vienna as the go to work every day. Only thing missing would have been some of the highlights along the way
We received very comprehensive information about the origin, training, and use of the horses.
The horse stable was not easy to find, but it was interesting and informative. The ride was from the stable, which was in the outskirts, to the city center, but does not include a ride in the city center. I was expecting a ride around town. I didn’t read the itinerary carefully. It still was a pleasant experience.
Dear Jina, thank you for your feedback. We’re happy to hear that you still had a pleasant experience and found the tour interesting and informative. The itinerary does specify that the ride starts from our stable on the outskirts and heads toward the city center, rather than being a ride through the city itself. It seems there may have been a misunderstanding when booking, but we truly appreciate your kind words and your visit. We would be very happy to welcome you again for one of our other tours in the future. Your Riding Dinner Team
It was a great experience. The horses were very well taken care of and loved. They let us spend time with the horses and gave a ton of information and photo opportunity. They were really helpful and very kind. Must do experience
If you like horses this is a must do trip. You get to feed the horses in their stables before your carriage ride. The guide also tells you a bit about carriage riding in Vienna which was very interesting. The ride itself is very relaxing and once you near the city you can see some wonderful buildings and architecture. For those who have little interaction with horses this is a great way to learn more about them.
Dusappinting. The driver did not explain any of the sites that we passed by on our ride. Not what I expected.
So going around Vienna in a horse-drawn carriage is also one of the things to do when you visit this city, but again the price, whether you are alone or with family, leaves something to be desired because 60 euros for 20 minutes, that leaves something to think about for our little French purse!!!!! Even if the decor is magnificent, I think you should let yourself be tempted, but in the absence of other activities. Let us be guided!!!!
