Du kommer att möta din guide utanför Vatikanmuseet och om du går förbi köerna med din skip-the-line-biljett ökar du snabb passage till gallerikomplexet. Du går igenom några av de historiska centrumens utställningar och rum; Gallery of Maps, Gallery of Tapestries och dessutom gå in på Pinecone Courtyard. Du arbetar dig då mot det chockerande Sixtinska kapellet med Michelangelos ökända fresker; De sista domarna och Adams skapelse. (Det är inte tillåtet att prata inne i kyrkan så din guide kommer att ge dig en fullständig analys innan avsnittet).

Möt din guide utanför Vatikanmuseet och hoppa över linjen när du kommer in i Vatikanmuseerna. Utforska de olika lyxiga utställningarna och rummen; Galleri med kartor; Tapestries-galleriet och in i Pinecone-gården. Fantastiska chefer som Raphael och Michelangelo gjorde en stor del av den häpnadsväckande konsten för påvarna mitt i renässansens tidsram.
När du lämnar skärmarna går du in i det härliga Sixtinska kapellet med Michelangelos berömda takfresker The Last Judgment och The Creation of Adam på en av fristaderna. (Det finns inget samtal i bönens hus så din guide kommer att klargöra allt före avsnitt).
Det är sedan dags för en rundtur i Peterskyrkan där du kommer att utforska de många sidokapellen med sina gömda kryptor. Du kommer att se Michelangelos Pietà och din guide kommer att förklara varför detta är det enda verk som han signerade. Du kommer att få en uppskattning av det mästerskap som gick in i skapandet av Berninis altartavla och lära dig hur Michelangelo segrade över sin samtid för äran att måla Peterskyrkans magnifika kupol. Our private tour of the Vatican Museums and St. Peter's Basilica was an unforgettable experience and so much of that was thanks to our outstanding guide, Francesco. From the moment the tour began, Francesco's passion for history, art and the Vatican was evident. He brought centuries of history to life with fascinating stories and insights that made every room, sculpture, and masterpiece even more meaningful. His knowledge was exceptional, yet he explained everything in a way that was engaging, easy to understand, and enjoyable. Walking through the Vatican Museums was incredible but entering the Sistine Chapel and later St. Peter's Basilica with Francesco's explanations gave us a much deeper appreciation for their beauty, history and significance. He pointed out details we would have completely missed on our own and answered every question with enthusiasm and expertise. Francesco was also organized, personable and made sure our group was comfortable throughout the tour, making what could have been an overwhelming experience feel seamless and enjoyable. Our tour guide was amazing. He was so knowable about every aspect of the tour. He had a personality that was so nice. He never rushed us.
Our guide, Claudia, was fantastic. There is a lot of walking, but she was extremely knowledgeable and able to guide us through the museums, the Sistine Chapel and the Basilica so that everything made sense. Our private tour guide, Paolo, was wonderful! She was easy to find, very communicative before our meeting time, knew so much about the Vatican and Sistine Chapel, and took us through a few short cuts to avoid crowds. Our only disappointment was the Basilica was closed and we were not notified ahead of time. This was not fault of our tour guide. She said it's jubilee year and the hours are different. We would have liked to have known this before the tour.
This tour was absolutely amazing. Francesco is so knowledgeable and taught us so much about the context and history of the paintings, architecture, and history of the Vatican. His knowledge truly elevated the tour and the hours flew by. I highly, highly recommend booking this tour with him. The city itself is astonishingly beautiful, but with Francesco there to guide us, it was more impactful and meaningful.
Fantastic tour! We got a great overview of the Vatican Museum and then quick access to the Basilica. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and she was able to connect the significance of the art with the historical events in a way that was really illuminating. We could've spent a week there but only having a few hours before we had to leave for our cruise, this was perfect.
The tour was excellent! This tour was simply fantastic! We could not have hoped for a better tour guide than Francesco! He was extremely knowledgeable about the Vatican! He was so very helpful explaining to us what we would be seeing before we went into the Sistine Chapel, helping us navigate the long lines outside and our way inside the Vatican.
