Efter 2 timmar av denna vandringstur får du kunskap om staden Bergen från tidigmedeltida århundraden till våra dagar. Bergen har smeknamn som "fjordarnas huvudstad" och "centrum för medeltida handel". Gamla kvarter i Bryggen bevarade den medeltida handelsstaden som blev Skandinaviens mest trafikerade handelsväg för många århundraden sedan. Många kända norrmän föddes här. Du kommer att besöka Bergenhus fästning och Håkon Hall som blev centrum för kungamakten i Norge för hundratals år sedan. Inga ingångar, du ser dem från fästningsgården. Du kommer att vara nedsänkt i verklig atmosfär av det förflutna och kommer också att få information om livet i denna stad idag. Detta är inte bara historisk tur. Varje turist får före turen en påse med arktiska bär i choklad som gratis gåva. En av de äldsta fiskmarknaderna i Norge där du kan se, smaka och äta rätter nästan kokta nästan från alla typer av fisk som kan fångas på norska fjordar.
Ett kluster av handelshytter som tillhörde tyska Hansansförbundet i medeltida århundraden. Unika costructions organiserad i speciella arkitektoniska system som användes av Hansa League för mer än 400 år. Detta område är inskriven på UNESCOs världsarvslista 1979.
Bergens äldsta stenkyrka som uppfördes mellan 1130 och 1180. Kyrkan är känd även under namnet Tyska kyrkan, eftersom många århundraden användes av Hansasällskapet i Bergen. Fram till slutet av 1800-talet hölls alla gudstjänster där på tyska. Besök inne i kyrkan ingår inte i visningsprogrammet. Du kommer att utforska kyrkan utifrån
Medeltida fästning som blev plats för norska kungar från 1100 år ungefär. Den äldsta stenhögskolan Haakon Hall och försvaret Rosenkrantz Tower, uppförda i mitten av 1200-talet, hittar du där. Från fästningsbastionerna kan du njuta av utsikten över stadens fjord och land med öar.
Detta medeltida försvarstorn kan ses från alla delar av gamla Bergen. Tornet är museum med utsiktsplatsen på högsta våningen i byggnaden. Vi kommer att undersöka det utifrån. Det tar cirka 10 minuter.
Håkonssalen som uppfördes 1261 är fortfarande i bruk. Detta är den bästa platsen att träffa utländska delegationer. Medeltidsandan i detta palats är ett verkligt tecken på Bergens historia. För att komma in i hallen behöver du biljetter. Under vår rundvandring undersöker vi Håkonssalen utifrån. 10 - 15 min

Tour guide never showed up. When talking to Viator representatives , they could not contact tour guide either
We are very sorry that this force-major situation happened. We suggested you as the compensation free private tour on the same date or later. You didn`t accept our offer unfortunately. Very comprehensive walking tour of Bergen. The guide has an extensive knowledge of the local sites and history and proceeded at a reasonable pace, permitting time for photos and questions. Bergen weather is usually wet, so be prepared.

This is a great walking tour with a concise overview of the city-center. You get to see the major landmarks and learn some history too. Olaf was an awesome tour guide!

This walking tour we ordered from Vinol Tours. One day before we had a great hike with Olav - mountain guide from the same company. Conversations with Olav during 5 hours of our hike were so interesting that we decided to order him again for historical tour next day. And the highest scores for Olav and Vinol Tours again! Bergen became the the center of medieval trade in Scandinavia many centuries ago. We have visited Bryggen - trading office that belonged to Trading Hanseatic League from the XIV-th century up to the middle of XIX th century. This is UNESCO site. Bergenhus Fortress we have visited also. Very impressive strong point that existing in the city from XII century. We ended tour at the fish market where we have enjoyed a good lunch after the tour.

mA very good tour agency. They helped me with a booking error and ensured that a tour guide was available for my corrected booking in a rather short time. Kudos to Ule and team. My guide for this tour was Alex. He has been in the country for a while and was knowledgeable about the Norwegian way of life. The tour started off from the Tourist Info centre at the Fish Market. We went up the furnicular (extra NOK95) and took in the city view from the top. Thereafter, we went to Bryggen, the church behind it and then to the city centre. There was a Christmas market at the centre and we took in the sights. Alex was very open and answered any questions I had about Bergen, Norway and Scandinavia. He even helped me take my tram tickets and offered to send me links to the Norwegian tales about trolls.This tour was well worth the time and money.

This tour was very informative. We have visited all main attractions in the city center. The most interesting place for me and my wife is Bergenhus Fortress. In 11th century when Bergen became the capital of Norway local kings decided to build their main residence on the shore of Bergen Fjord. More then 200 years The Fortress with Haakon Hall was the main place for the kings. Thanks for people that booked the same tour previously. From their reviews we got information that this tourist agency is distributor of different goods made by local craftsmen. We also bought souvenirs that vinoltours suggesting to its customers.
