Klockan 9:30 startar vår vandring från Tremezzo, en typisk by som ser den centrala delen av sjön, framför Bellagio och Varenna. Vi går från Tremezzo till Ossuccio genom en gammal anslutningsväg, "Greenway of the Lake" som upptäcker mjuka stigar, dolda hörn av lokalhistoria och förtrollande sjöutsikt. Vi når Ossuccio och därifrån ön Comacina med allmän båt. Comacina Island är den enda ön i Comosjön, en av de mest intressanta arkeologiska platserna i norra Italien under de tidiga medeltiden. Området, som kallas Zoca de l'Oli för sitt milda klimat, är täckt av medelhavsvegetation och olivträd för produktion av lokal olja. Från Comacina Island tur och retur med offentlig båt till Ossuccio, från Ossuccio med promenad till Villa Balbianello, i Lenno. Villa Balbianello ligger på ett skogsområde vid Comosjön. Denna eleganta, romantiska herrgård från 1700-talet och dess magnifika trädgård har varit värd för författare och resenärer, inklusive Guido Monzino, den sista ägaren.

Villa del Balbianello är en villa som ligger på toppen av den lilla trädbevuxna halvön Dosso d'Avedo, i den sydvästra delen av Comosjön. Villa del Balbianello är känd för sina utarbetade terrasserade trädgårdar, med en berömd loggia som gjorde det möjligt för tittarna att beundra två olika panoramautsikt över sjön, från öst till väst. Platsen för Villa användes också för kända filmer: Star Wars (2002), Casino Royale (2006), His Demise (2016), En månad vid sjön (1995) och många andra.
Från Tremezzo, genom gamla byar och mjuka stigar, går vi till Ossuccio längs en antik romersk anslutningsväg, "Greenway of the Lake" (ungefär m 100 nivåskillnad, cirka 8 km). Förresten, förtrollande panorama på sjön, naturen och lokalhistorien.

Great day on Lake Como. This walking tour took us off the beaten path and out of the crowds for a bit, walking through neighborhoods and visiting historic sites on the island, then we had a lovely tour of the gardens of Villa Balbianello. Our wonderful guide Nadia was incredibly knowledgeable about the rich history of Lake Como, and provided lots of fun, practical information that only a local would know.
Nadia really knows her stuff. My husband and I took the private walking tour of Como and Nadia showed us great walking areas and was more than willing to help us plan anything else we needed help with.
Absolutely loved our walk. Our tour guide really knew her stuff. She even gave us ideas of other things we could do during our stay. 10/10 would recommend!
Nadia was an excellent guide! So great to connect with a local who grew up on the lake and is also well travelled! She took us on a nice scenic route away from the crowds giving us some great insight into the area. We walked a lot, learned a lot, ate lunch at a local restaurant and wrapped it all up with an amazing gelato. Highly recommend!

This was a tour of one of the most beautiful places in Lake Como. The gardens were amazing and the green belt magnificent. Alessandro was our tour guide. He was knowledgeable, friendly and is someone I would highly recommend for their tour. I five him 5÷ stars.
Exceeded our expectation! Our guide Nadia is very experienced and passionate, who shared with us many local treasures. The path we took is completely out of the usual touristy area. Our family of five including five young kids truly enjoyed the beautiful and educational walk with Nadia. Value for money!
