Vandring på vulkanen Iztaccíhuatl från Puebla

Izta Popo nationalpark har två vulkaner på samma plats. Vi har utformat vandringsleder så att du kan njuta av den otroliga utsikten över den vilande vulkanen Iztaccíhuatl och den aktiva vulkanen Popocatépetl. Vår lokala guide kommer att förklara områdets flora och fauna. Lev och andas den rena luften på cirka 3 600 meter över havet och 4 300 meter över havet. Det är ett utmärkt ställe att dela en underbar upplevelse ensam, med vänner eller familj. Turen inkluderar transport tur och retur. Välj mellan: Nivå 1. Vandringen börjar på cirka 3 600 meter över havet och slutar på 3 980 meter över havet. Leden är markerad och sandig. Den totala sträckan är cirka 8-9 km, varav 4 km är måttlig stigning och 4 km är nedförsbacke. Nivå 2. Den totala sträckan är 14 km, varav 4 km är uppförsbacke och resten nedförsbacke med några meter måttlig uppförsbacke. Leden är mestadels sandig, med utsikt över Iztaccihuatl på vägen dit och Popocatépetl på vägen tillbaka. Nivå 3. Det är en 7 km lång vandring på en höjd mellan 4 000 och 4 500 meter över havet där det kommer att finnas sand och sten.

Vårt äventyr börjar vid Paso de Cortés. Vid det här laget lämnar vi fordonet, vår certifierade guide ger oss instruktionerna och vi förbereder oss för promenaden. Vi har 3 ruttalternativ med olika svårighetsgrader. Tja, välj ett, något av de 3 alternativen. Alla har noggrant designats så att du inte missar den underbara utsikten som vulkanerna erbjuder.
På denna turné kan du välja mellan 3 olika nivåer: Nivå 1 = På denna tur går vi längs stigar markerade mot vulkanen Izta. Det är en harmonisk promenad där vi kommer fram till en utsiktspunkt där du kan beundra skönheten i Iztaccíhuatl och Popocatépetl. Avstånd från 9 till 11 km, mellan höjder på 3 670 och 4 000 möh. 330m fall. Nivå 2 = På denna rutt passerar vi genom ett område med källor och skog, och beundrar de vackra vyerna som kännetecknar denna nationalpark. Den har stigar som inte är så markerade, off-road i gräsmarker och uppför. Avstånd från 14,5 till 15 km mellan höjder på 3 670 och 4 100 möh med ett fall på 580 m. Nivå 3 = Vi kommer att gå på högre höjd, på denna höjd är utsikten panoramautsikt. Stigarna är gjorda av sten, sand och sluttningar. Den här rutten är känd som "Ruta de Portillos" där vi kommer fram till den 2:a eller 3:e porten beroende på väderförhållandena. Avstånd på 7 km mellan höjder på 3 900 och 4 300 möh med ett fall på 420 m

My and my girlfriend got picked up at the chosen pick-up-point. Our guide Luis was really kind and enthousiastic about the environment during the drive. At the beginning of the hike he gave us some coffee/tea and had some time to get used to the altitude. The hike was great and we even saw a eruption from the volcano. Luis was kind and we had a lot of fun with him. We felt really safe.

We did the level 2 hike to Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl with Luis, and the experience was incredible. Luis was always super friendly, explained many things during the tour, and answered all our questions with great patience. The hike was impressive, the views are beautiful, and we went at our own pace the whole time, which made us enjoy the experience a lot. It is clear that Luis knows the area very well and loves what he does. We definitely recommend it and would do another hike with him.

We chose the level 2 and were challenged but Rafa knew when to stop and rest. We are 64 and 63 years old. If you are in good shape go for it. We made it and we’re only pushing it the last 4 km. We were lucky with the weather which Rafa said is good from Nov-Apr. Very scenic and glad we took the route that saw the waterfalls. Rafa did a great job getting us to see everything in a safe manner. He is a very experienced guide and guides all over Mexico and has experience around the world.

The guide was very nice and polite, and the excursion was conducted in a calm and pleasant manner. There wasn’t much commentary during the tour, which made sense given the nature of the area — the views were beautiful, but there was a very limited variety of plants and virtually no wildlife to see apart from birds. The route itself was very easy. Anyone who has done a few hikes before would find it quite comfortable and not physically demanding. Our main concern was the vehicle. The car was extremely small even for the group size of only 4 people,only two backpacks could have been placed in the trunk and two of us had to sit on temporary children’s seats. There was very little legroom, and due to the road conditions and numerous bumps, it was quite uncomfortable, with heads frequently hitting the rear window. There were also no handles to somehow hold yourself as those seats are not meant for drive like this. We switched seats on the way back, and everyone was able to experience that the conditions were quite uncomfortable for a two-hour drive each way. Overall, the guide was kind and professional, but improving the transportation would greatly enhance the experience.

Loved it! Friendly and knowledgeable guide and stunning views. Varm attire was essential as we started round sunrise. The early morning views and scenery was well worth the chill morning temperatures and 5 am departure from Puebla.
