Upphämtningsplatser och tider
Vår upphämtning är mellan 3:00 och 3:30 på morgonen från dina hotell, så att klockan 3:30 på morgonen börjar vi och i turistbussen går mot början av vandringen, på vägen kommer vi att göra följande stopp: i Chivay för att äta vår frukost och i korset av kondoren för att kunna uppskatta kondorens flygning och kanjonens djup. I början av vandringen kommer vi att anlända cirka 9:00 på morgonen, därifrån börjar vi gå ner för att gå 3 timmar till staden San Juan, här äter vi lunch och fortsätter sedan till oasen Sangalle, i oasen Sangalle kommer du att kunna njuta av din pool, vi äter middag och tillbringar natten och den andra dagen klockan 5:00 på morgonen börjar vi den 3 timmar långa uppstigningen till Cabanaconde, i Cabanaconde har vi vår frukost, och sedan återvända på turistbussen till Arequipa, stopp på vägen kommer att göras i olika utsiktspunkter och turistattraktioner, vi kommer fram till Arequipa cirka 5:00 på eftermiddagen

Our guide Franco was great, full of energy, and very kind.
It's a hard trek, but the views are amazing. Franko was such a good guide for the tour with humor and great knowledge of the area.
Fidel (our guide) was incredible! He provided us with a wealth of information about the formation of the canyon, the history, the vegetation... He has a very high level of English and his jokes are excellent. He accompanied us from start to finish and adapts to the group, according to the levels. I highly recommend this experience, a total immersion in the heart of Nature. The meals were excellent. The accommodation was impeccable, clean, and beautiful with a large pool.
The tour of the Colca Canyon was unbeatable. The landscape is spectacular and the feeling after climbing is very powerful. Our guide Fidel completely enriched the experience. In between jokes, he helped us set a slow pace to tackle the climb and assisted us in managing the hikes by stopping at key moments to offer us very interesting explanations about the place. A 10/10.
Canyon is beautiful and guide was very knowledge. But timings of trip weren't great, guide insisted we spend 2hrs at lunch on the first day even when we were all finished with less than an hour, which meant we arrived at the oasis with the pool at sunset. Pacing of the hike was also very sporadic, guide rushed some parts and then went very slow in others. When we finished the hike on the second day, the bus driver also didn't arrive for over 30mins. Finally, the lunch on the last day was a stop at a restaurant with only option being a buffet which was terrible, all the food was cold and it was massively overpriced. The overall trip was still good and canyon was amazing, but definitely some things to be improved.
It has been an amazing experience!! And partly because of the guide we had, Elvis. You could notice his passion for his land, and he told us so many interesting things!! Besides bringing the group together a lot (a lucky thing because we had a very good group). I recommend that if you can, request him as your guide. The landscapes were also spectacular, the trekking was intense but very satisfying and very enjoyable with the stops and explanations from Elvis. And the hot springs at the end of the trekking were also very cool. 100% recommended!!!
We had a wonderfull experience with our guides Franco and Carlos. Both really nice and welcoming people. Our day started of with clear information about the 2 day trip and pick-up (via whatsapp) which was really appreciated. Unfortunately our Tourist Bus had technical issues which caused a 1.5h+ delay, but they got a fix with a new bus! And our tour went on! Carlos was our main guide, he definetely made sure we did not miss anything and made sure not to hurry anyone up. So everyone could walk on their own tempo. He is also really passionated about the andes, the region which he originates from and you can sense it in his passion about the nature itself. Really loved him! We stayed the night at the oasis, which had a 25• pool, but was really primitive, do be prepared. (All families in this region have the same kind of stay, so they are all the same in luxury). On the last day we did the hike up, which was nice as well as the hot springs. When booking this tour: make sure to bring layers (really hot during the day, and cold in the morning) Also, you need to be fit. Shoutout to Carlos (and also Franco) for the unforgetabble experience!
We were so happy witv this tour! The Canyon was beautiful, the weather was perfect, the hotel was very nice and we hikes with the best group. We were also very happy with our guide Franco. He had so much knowledge about the area, and he was really helpful.
