Bli äventyrlig, bli lerig och gå av den asfalterade leden! Vandra för att utforska olika zoner i regnskogen och njut av vackra vyer, naturliga pooler och Atlanten. När vi anländer till El Yunques kjolar börjar vi med en 25-30 minuters resa på en flodvadnings- och bergsväg till floden. Du kommer att se bambuträd, blommor och vackra växter och uppleva floder, vattenfall och naturliga stigar. Vi kommer att göra ett stopp för att besöka en uppsamlingsbassäng som bildas vid foten av ett litet vattenfall. Här får du möjlighet att simma i dess kristallklara vatten, svänga från ett rep och njuta av de olika tonerna av dess djupa pooler. Sedan, efter några minuters vandring och bergsklättring till de övre delarna (mer ansträngande), kommer du fram till en naturlig flod där du kan simma, hoppa klippor, njuta av de naturliga vattenrutschbanorna och små vattenfallen. Efter vandringen stannar vi för lunch på en lokal restaurang (matkostnad ingår ej) i ungefär en timme till en och en halv timme.
Vi fortsätter sedan mot öster för att gå med på guidad nattliv med bioluminescerande kajak. Upplev de mystiska mangrovekanalerna som leder till Laguna Grande. Titta i vattnet för att se de glödande pyrodinium bahamense, mikroskopiska planktoner som kan producera naturligt ljus vid beröring av din hand eller paddel (som eldflugor). Beundra dessa fantastiska organismer på nära håll när du paddlar på en 2-person kajak genom mangrovarna för en uppskattning av 30 minuter, och lära av din ekoturguide om detta bräckliga och unika ekosystem. När du har nått lagunen har du lite tid att leka med vattnet (inifrån kajakken) och få mer information innan vi går tillbaka till mangrovekanalerna för ytterligare en kajakresa på cirka 30 minuter. Njut av tillhandahållna snacks i slutet av kajakturen innan du återvänder till San Juan. Observera: Biobukten är ett oförutsägbart naturfenomen som kan påverkas av flera faktorer. Bioluminoscity-nivån kan variera från mycket synlig till minimal eller ingen utan föregående meddelande. Fullmånefas kan också påverka synligheten för bioluminescensen. I händelse av att detta inträffar kommer alternativa metoder såsom användning av en tarp att införlivas för att uppskatta det.

Gratis upphämtning endast från utvalda områden i San Juan (Old San Juan, Miramar, Condado, Ocean Park, Isla Verde). Mötesplats finns i staden Luquillo för personer som bor i städerna Rio Grande och Fajardo. Exakt upphämtningstid ges dagen före turen. Ser du inte ditt hotell? - Maxvikt för att delta är 225 lbs (102 kg) per person, ej kombinerat.
- Underlåtenhet att meddela korrekt kan leda till att person(er) inte kan delta på bio bay tour, inga återbetalningar kommer att utfärdas på grund av detta.
- På grund av den strikta viktbegränsningen måste alla deltagare viktas vid ankomsten till reseplatsen. Inga avbokningar eller återbetalningar kommer att utfärdas om en person försummar att uppge korrekt vikt och inte kan delta i turnén.
- Gravida kvinnor, personer med rygg- eller knäproblem, hjärtbesvär, nyligen genomförda operationer eller skador eller andra allvarliga medicinska tillstånd kan inte delta. Barn måste vara 7 år eller äldre för att delta.
- På lördagar är vandringen längre och mer utmanande eftersom vi avgår från en annan punkt.
- Regnskogsdelen är föremål för gynnsamma väderförhållanden. Om du avbokar på grund av dåligt väder får du möjlighet att välja ett annat datum eller full återbetalning.
- Av säkerhetsskäl måste deltagarna kunna förstå engelska eller spanska. Lagligt blinda eller döva personer kan inte delta på grund av detsamma. Ett alternativ för personer med vissa begränsningar är att boka en privat regnskogstur. Vänligen kontakta oss innan du bokar för mer information.
- Användning av flytväst och hjälm är obligatoriskt. En avgift på 100 USD tillkommer för varje utrustning om den inte returneras.

The rainforest tour was amazing, our guide Jason was the best and gave us a great tour seeing beautiful plants and places to swim.
For those looking for a few more details about what to expect this is for you. We got picked up and then headed to the rainforest after picking everyone up. Our guide Jason was super accommodating and stopped at a store to allow everyone to go to the bathroom and purchase anything they would like. Upon arrival we were required to wear a lifejacket and helmet. Jason made lots of stops along the way to educate us on the rainforest which was great! The hike to the pools was not far at all, maybe 3/4 a mile. It did take longer due to the stops. There was some moderate climbing over boulders and rocks to get to the waterfalls and jumps and rope swing but the trail to the pools was not difficult at all. Jason was also very accommodating to those who did not want to do any of the jumps and let them hang out at the pools. There were a lot of people so we did have to wait a while for the jumps but Jason waited and made sure to give us time to enjoy the experience. Then we walked back to the bus. We were able to leave everything on the bus during the hike. Definitely bring clothes, etc that you are willing to get wet. Jason had a dry bag he allowed us to put our cell phones and sunglasses in during the water experience. After that we were dropped off at the beach. Note that we did have to wait around 3 hours to be picked up so there is a lot of down time there. A separate individual picked us up and took us to the ecotour booth to check in for the bioluminescence kayaking portion. We did have to wait a bit longer. Note that there were a lot of mosquitoes for this portion but not in the rainforest. Then we were paired up into kayaks to kayak around 1.5 miles to the lagoon at back. Personally this was not difficult for us but several people struggled with the kayaking so it took quite a while and didn't get back until after 9pm. People would get stuck and push us back, etc. The company was nice and tried to be helpful to those who struggled but it was a little frustrating. Because of the light pollution we were put under a big tarp in the lagoon to see the glowing in the water for around 5 minutes. But you can see it well with the tarps. Then we got back in the van (the driver waited for us during the tour) and drove the 1 hour or so back and dropped everyone off. So it was definitely a very long day. Note that you will get weighed and also cannot bring anything other than your phone if needed on the kayaks. People did wear flip flops, etc but note you do have to walk through the water a bit to get to the kayaks. I hope that was helpful for those who want more detailed information about what to expect. Overall it was a long day but a fun experience!
Really two trips - you head out to El Yunque, do the tour, then off to a restaurant and a beach before being picked up later to head off to the bioluminescent lagoon George was great, really friendly, clearly cares about all the guests enjoyment and wellbeing. Even with a slight wait for a replacement bus, when the original one broke down, highly recommend. Later, bio bay really good, all kayak staff took good care of us and had a great time!
I booked this excursion for my nephew and me while visiting San Juan to celebrate his 21st birthday. I made the reservation through Chase Travel and provided all requested details at the time of booking, including both of our names and accurate weights. The purchase was accepted without issue, so I reasonably assumed everything was in order. After arriving in San Juan, I called to arrange hotel pickup. During that call, I was informed that my nephew exceeded the 225 lb weight limit for the Bio Bay kayaking excursion. He weighs 235 lbs—a detail I had already disclosed during the booking process. Despite having that information upfront, the company still accepted payment and later refused to issue a refund. The representative stated that the weight restriction was listed on Viator. After reviewing the listing again, I did find the restriction—but only buried in the fine print. It was not clearly stated in the title, overview, or checkout page without digging deeper. That lack of visibility is a significant issue. My nephew is fit and active, and there was nothing to suggest he would be excluded from a standard adult kayaking activity. In fact, typical kayak weight capacities often range from 250–350 lbs. To Bespoke Lifestyle Management: if weight limits are strictly enforced, they should be clearly and prominently disclosed—and more importantly, your system should not accept bookings when a customer provides information that disqualifies them. Accepting payment under those circumstances and then refusing a refund feels misleading and unfair. Buyer beware: if you’re booking with this company, make sure to thoroughly review every detail—including the fine print—before purchasing, as key restrictions may not be clearly communicated upfront. I’ve included screenshots of the listing and checkout process, both of which lack clear disclosure of this restriction. I hope this feedback leads to more transparent practices moving forward so others don’t have a similar experience.
Great experience with awesome tour guides, especially Jason on the El Yunque tour. If you’re lucky enough to get him, you’re in for a treat
This tour was so much fun! Jason, our guide for the El Yunque portion of the day was fantastic. Along with a great hike, we learned all about the native medicinal plants of the island, and a lot of other really interesting things. Jason took tons of amazing photos that he shared so nobody had to take their phones along. The lunch stop was fantastic, and then we had about half an hour at the Luquillo Kiosks waiting for the second leg of the tour. The bioluminescent kayaking was so cool to see. The mangrove trees we navigated through on the way to the lagoon were really beautiful, the guide EJ pointed out herons, jelly fish, and other interesting things about the mangroves themselves. Even with it being a new moon, we were able to get a really good view of the sparkling lights created by the motion in the water. I would recommend this tour to anyone, it was an amazing day!

This was technically two tours with two different guides. The first guide, Jason, was amazing! He led us through the rainforest, made sure everyone was safe, and kept the experience fun. All the other guides from other companies knew him and loved him—such a friendly community. The second part, the kayaking, was a bit underwhelming. The experience was fine, but the bay didn’t really glow (even after they had us hold a tarp over our heads). Overall, the Bespoke tour company is awesome and I highly recommend them for the El Yunque hike. If your main goal is to see the Bio Bay glow, you can skip the kayaking portion altogether.
Loved our tour guide! He preps us so we are not surprised - there will be mud and LOTS of it. We got to slide on rocks and do some 10 ft jumps.
El Yunque was an incredible experience! The bioluminescent bay was cool, but honestly could’ve been skipped. An overview of the day: Jason was very punctual with the pickups. He kept an energetic, friendly, and helpful attitude the whole time. We stopped at Walgreens to pick up snacks and water shoes (highly recommend them!). We then went to el Yunque. Was incredible! Jason knew a lot about the flora and fauna in PR. The hike was fun and Jason helped us through the more difficult areas (I’d give it a moderate difficulty overall. Nothing too crazy). We got to cliff jump, to rope swing, and to go down the natural water slide. As someone terrified of heights, I’m very appreciative of my group’s encouragement for me to give these things a try. I felt safe the whole tour and people’s boundaries were respected if anyone wanted to skip any activity. Jason brought a dry bag to hold our phones in during these activities. I was the only one doing the tour combo with the kayak, so I was dropped off at the beach for an hour to relax/grab a drink while waiting for the other tour bus to pick me up. This transition between tours was smooth and well-communicated. The kayaking tour was fun, but the luminescence itself was underwhelming in my opinion. It is also hard doing it solo because you will be paired up with a stranger (hard to coordinate with a stranger in a kayak). Overall had a ton of fun! Highly recommend this tour if you’re in PR. Jason is the best! Things to bring: - Water shoes - sun screen - swimsuit - Change of clothes (so you can change into something dry after the el Yunque part) - extra change of pants/shorts (your legs will get wet in the kayaking part) - bug spray - snack + water - water proof phone case with lanyard (and dry bag if you want one for yourself)
