Detta magnifika tempel tillägnat Lord Rudreshwara (Shiva) och ett världsarv byggdes på 1200-talet under Kakatiya-härskaren Ganapati Devas regeringstid. Sandstensstrukturen är ett anmärkningsvärt stycke arkitektur med sina dekorerade bjälkar och pelare av snidad granit. En distinkt egenskap hos detta tempel är användningen av lätta porösa tegelstenar eller "flytande tegelstenar", för att minska vikten på takkonstruktionen.
Bhadrakali-templet är ett av de äldsta templen som är tillägnat tillbedjan av modergudinnan. Det är den här gudinnans gudom som hade Kohinoor-diamanten när den lämnade ögat på 1300-talet. Det byggdes år 625 e.Kr., och ligger i en pittoresk miljö på stranden av Bhadrakali-sjön. Templets struktur stöds av fyrkantiga pelare ett unikt stiluttalande inom arkitekturen. En höjdpunkt i detta tempel är skulpturen av ett häftigt lejon, gudinnans heliga fordon, vänd mot helgedomen.
Vår slutdestination på rundturen i Warangal är Templet med tusen pelare, ett av de finaste exemplaren av Kakatiya-arkitekturen. Templet byggdes år 1163 av kung Rudra Deva och har tre helgedomar, som är tillägnade Lord Shiva, Vishnu och solguden. Templet har 1000 pelare, som var och en är utsmyckad med rika sniderier. Höjdpunkten i arkitekturen är att de 1000 pelarna är konstruerade på ett sådant sätt att ingen av dem hindrar sikten över helgedomen. Hela templet liknar formen av en stjärna och pelarna har invecklade sniderier av konstverk på dem. Templets design är sådan att solens morgonstrålar faller direkt på Shiva Lingam.

We had an enjoyable trip to Ramappa temple, the 1000 pillar temple and Badrakali temple with a knowledgeable guide. She explained the history of the temples and the Kakatheya empire. The tour had a comfortable SUV and the driver was good at navigating traffic. Overall a very enjoyable trip, I recommend it to anyone who is interested in learning about history of the region.
My teenage son and I had a great day. It is a long car trip, but our guide, Sashi, and the driver made sure everything was taken care of. Their flexibility and attention really made the trip feel customized to us. Ramappa Temple is a fantastic blend of engineering and craftsmanship. At the temple we met an additional expert guide who showed us all of the details and explained the meaning behind them. One thing I wish I had known was that since shoes must be removed when visiting active temples, sandals or other easy-off shoes are ideal.
The trip to visit the three temples, with Ramappa being the highlight, was outstanding. Such an immersing experience and absoulutely worth it. Sainath is a fantastic guide and so knowledgeable. He really took his time to explain details and guide around the temples. The food was also excellent.
PhD Sathish was very professional and knowledgeable about Indian history. He was great detail to induce rich Indian history. We had great trip.
Amazing tour, the experience was very enjoyable. I really liked the ancient temples and the explanations given by the guide.
The guide, Srinu, was very knowledgeable, the temples very fascinating, and lunch was delicious as well. My only marks against the tour are: 1) The fact it's a 4 hour trip each way, which wasn't clear from the info here. Knowing that ahead of time would have been nice to be able to plan accordingly. 2) After getting back to Hyderabad we went to a shop with an *extremely* pushy owner who wouldn't accept no for an answer and just kept pestering me to buy very expensive things. Having to tell a guy no over and over again for 30 minutes is not my idea of fun and really took away from the experience.
Again another great history tour from our guide (Srinu).learned another interesting history about the India's hyderabad region. Showed us the cuisine of the area. Again if you like history of other countries this is the way to go.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience on this tour! As a solo female traveler, I couldn’t have felt more comfortable or well taken care of on this tour. The guide Sainath was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing not only detailed historical facts but also captivating stories that made the history come alive. Our driver Veera was equally impressive – he drove smoothly and safely, ensuring a comfortable and relaxing ride for all of us. On top of that, he was extremely courteous and attentive to my needs. The food was another highlight, offering an authentic taste of local cuisine that was both delicious and satisfying. This tour is highly recommended, especially with Sainath and Veera leading the way. Their passion and professionalism made it an unforgettable adventure!
The visit to this temple was worth the travel time of 4 hours one way. It was the most beautiful, esthetically pleasing temple so far and the amazing mason work most impressive. A highlight of my trip to India! 😎😊👍🙏
