This was my least favorite lagoon of the three we visited. While it was beautiful and unique with the surrounding lake, I didn’t feel that the facilities were as clean or well-maintained as the Blue Lagoon or Forest Lagoon, which we really enjoyed. The facilities also felt a bit chaotic and could have been cleaner. Overall, the setting was beautiful, but the experience didn’t quite compare to the other lagoons we visited. We ended up only staying an hour - would skip this one.
The baths were good and the facility was nice. The 1300 for a towel was a bit much and should have been included in the large sum paid for admission.
Wonderful time at baths but paid way too much for 30 minute drive there. Advise baths get there own van.
Very relaxing experience. The thermal baths are a great way to unwind and take a break from touring around Iceland. I preferred these baths over the Blue Lagoon as they were less “touristy”. We went early in the day and it was uncrowded.
BEAUTIFUL facility, the pools that “float” on the lake are truly spectacular. The idea of getting out of a very hot water pool and diving into an Icelandic lake with particularly cold water is fascinating! A must-try once in a lifetime!
This was a very nice spa. Loved the swimsuit dryer! Have to jump on the lake!! Clean and well organized
Excellent first time in public geothermal bathes. The Staff was very helpful. The locker rooms were clean and well equipped. Private changing rooms were available. The bathes were wonderful. The lake was very cold but everything was well marked. Highly recommended.
Very much enjoyed the experience. Beautiful being so close to the lake, and a stunning view. Friendly staff and services as well. We went at 8:30 and stayed until 10:30pm.
Unique, relaxing environment - highly recommended. One of the best geothermal experiences in the world. No smell and so nice to be able to dip in the lake too. Swim up bar is great and reasonably priced.
Terrible place, water was disgusting and smelly, floor at some spots was slippery that it wasn't even possible to walk, the water in the lake was much cleaner than in the bath, very bad maintened place.
