Urban forsränning vid Romas Tiber River

Beskrivning

I would book this tour again but directly through Roma Rafting. The meet up information provided is incorrect, it has you go to Piazza del Popolo but the actual meet up point is on the Tiber river. We walked around for almost 30 minutes before someone had to come get us, Roma Rafting did everything they could to make sure we did not miss the tour. The tour overall was a lot of fun and worth the price.
What a PERFECT Rome experience. I don't know how anyone can complete a Rome vacation without this rafting trip. You get such incredible views as you raft through the center of Rome. You start with a spectacular view of the Vatican and end with an amazing view of the Great Synagogue. Even though we are not talking Colorado style rapids, the two mini-rapids do add a little adrenaline to the float . . . plus it was rough enough to knock my son off the raft . . . but that was his fault:) GREAT TIME, GREAT GUIDE!!! If I were to make any recommendations to improve the experience, I would say 1: there should be a photographer on the bridge taking pictures as the raft goes over the rapids. I would have paid anything for that photo, and 2: SELL SWAG. I also would have paid a premium for a shirt that said "Rome Whitewater Rafting" :) 10/10
The rafting guide and the lady helping at shore are super kind and funny. The rafting guide is extremely skilled, having worked all over the world. This is a level 1 activity and you don't need any prior rafting experience. I'd definitely recommend it to those who want to have fun, see Rome from another point of view and dare to get wet in the river Tevere.
Fun and unique experience. Expect mostly calm waters but with a couple 'bumpy' rafting bits (enough to make half of us fall into the raft from our seated positions!) Good for me considering I had zero rafting experience. Regarding the booking, if they do not have enough people to go ahead then you will be offered alternative times or days, if possible, so be aware of that and try to be flexible. I had to attend the day after since no-one else booked for my initial day.
We loved it! A completely different way to enjoy Rome. We had the best guide, who was Facu. It is a very calm and accessible walk for everyone with a couple of rapids that are a bit more exciting. We really enjoyed the experience and always recommend it.
It was a lovely gentle meander along the quiet river Tiber with a bit of fun over the rapids at the end. More information about the sites that we sailed past would have been appreciated. We felt that due to there being more Italian speakers in the group they had more conversation. A better description of where to meet would have been helpful.
Fantastic experience, as a Roman, you have another point of view of the city!
We booked this trip for an early evening activity. Our rafting guide was friendly and very knowledgeable. The general rafting is at an easy level and the 2 mini white water experiences were really good fun. We got quite wet so a change of clothes is needed. There are no toilets or changing facilities at either end of trip. The company were happy to take rucksacks in their car for transport though to meet is at end. There are a few stops during the route for photos and some information about the buildings at the side of the river. At one stop, cold pizza type faccacia sandwiches are provided (I'd have just preferred crisps, cookies or muffins or something but others may love this). All in all, a really nice family activity.
Unique, interesting and most importantly fun! See Rome from a different angle and paddle down the Tiber. Michael was very informative and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Even at the start waiting for other guests, Michael was giving some background the Piazza del Popolo, our meeting point. Highly recommend.
Pretty nice activity overall, but the weather was really not on our side, with heavy rains that made the experience less pleasant. We didn’t plan on suitable shoes or K-Way, so it’s advisable to come well equipped. You must also be comfortable enough in English to follow the instructions. In good weather, the activity would have been even more fun, and it might have been more appropriate to shift it by one day. On the other hand, the host and the person who lent us the equipment, kept our things in his car and brought food and drink (water, pizzas, chocolate, etc.) were really friendly and attentive.
