UPPTÄCK Scuba Diving Experience i Honolulu

We had a great time diving with Dive Oahu. Morgan, Chris, and Adam were amazing—friendly, professional, and a lot of fun to be around. My two teenage daughters were first-time divers, and the crew did an excellent job making them feel comfortable and confident throughout the experience. They were patient, kind, and took the time to explain everything clearly, which made the entire day stress-free and enjoyable for our family. The dive itself was fantastic, and the team’s positive attitude and attention to safety really stood out. I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to scuba diving for our girls. Highly recommend Dive Oahu, especially for families and first-time divers. We’ll definitely dive with them again when we’re back in Hawaii.

Absolutely hands down one of the BEST experiences I’ve ever had in Hawaii. The entire crew at Dive Oahu made us feel safe, welcomed, and genuinely excited to be out on the water. Captain Matt was outstanding — professional, knowledgeable, calm, and made the whole trip smooth and fun from start to finish. Amie and Rachel were beyond amazing as well. Their energy, kindness, patience, and attention to everyone on the boat truly made the experience unforgettable. You can tell they genuinely love what they do and care about every single person there. Whether you’re brand new to diving/snorkeling or experienced, this is the crew you want. The level of professionalism mixed with fun and aloha spirit was incredible. I honestly cannot give high enough kudos to Captain Matt, Amie, and Rachel. Trip was fantastic Nacho Jeff Justin Ami and Pat are all wonderful. They treated us really well and I’m grateful for their service, kindness, and jokes. Fabio is pretty cool too. I’m especially grateful for Justin. He was super responsible and kind, and I always felt safe. I also felt like he was enjoying the nature we were swimming through and wanted me to enjoy it too! If you're visiting Oahu and want to learn to dive — especially if you're nervous — book with Dive Oahu. My journey spanned two visits. I started with a discovery dive with Amie last October, then returned in March for my full Open Water certification with Jackson. He took me from barely passing the swim test to completing two days of open water dives, even while I was unknowingly dealing with a sinus infection that made breathing and panic a genuine struggle. Jackson never let me feel like quitting was the answer, and his patience made it possible for me to come back and finish. On my final visit this week, Amie was my instructor again for the last two dives — a full-circle moment I didn't expect. She guided me through the remaining skills and my first real underwater exploration with the same calm, encouraging energy from day one. If you're on the fence about trying diving while in Hawaii, let this be your sign. Jackson and Amie are exceptional. Dive Oahu earned every star. The main tweaks: added a descriptive subtitle (TripAdvisor readers often skim those), framed it for visitors planning a Hawaii trip, and the closing speaks to the traveler mindset of "should I do this activity."

An unforgettable first dive in Waikīkī! I went with my adult son and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Our Dive Master, Amee, was incredible—patient, clear, and a fantastic teacher, while also keeping it fun the entire time. The crew was top-notch, the dive site was perfectly chosen, and the highlight… THE SEA TURTLES—absolutely wow. Highly recommend for anyone looking to try scuba for the first time!

Our first time diving was an absolute blast with Dive Oahu. Adam (Our favourite Jim Hopper lookalike!), Mark and Heather were very professional but easy to talk to which gave us a very comfortable atmosphere. Heather was our dive leader and kept constant eyes on us to check we were okay and obeying all best practices for a novice diver. Many thanks to her for putting me at ease and showing me the great things in the reefs. On my dive I swam with a turtle, sat on the sea floor with an octopus and saw lots of fish I never knew existed (cornetfish are particularly strange!) There were 4 of us on the diving trip and 2 others snorkelling. We started at 10:30am and we got back to land at around 1:30pm. Complimentary snacks and drinks were provided.

We had an absolutely incredible time with Matt, Ella, and Ryan? (Sorry forgetting the whole team’s names) - I am certified but this was my wife’s first introduction to scuba diving and the team made sure that both of our experiences were top notch. The certified divers on our excursion were able to get right into the water once offshore with a guide and have a great time exploring while the non-certified divers like my wife were taught the introduction basics to be safe and confident with a certified padi dive instructor - meaning we both got the best experience we could have tailored to both our experience levels. After the first dive, everyone was able to group up and go down to another reef for a second dive which was even more enjoyable. Saw white tip sharks, moray eel, rainbow parrotfish and so so much more!!! The entire crew was phenomenal, made sure everyone had fun while also ensuring safety was kept top of mind. I cannot speak highly enough about the team and the experience overall. The boat was clean, modern and we felt like we were so lucky to get such a positive experience here in Hawaii at a very reasonable price considering it was a half day experience @ about $150/person. We can’t wait to come back and do it again!

Nacho, Jeff, Heather and El were terrific crew members! Jeff especially was great in calming down my wife with her struggle to unnaturally breathe under water. In all seriousness this was an amazing tour and all crew members contributed to us having a great time. We saw a group of dolphins swim next to the boat on the way out of the marina and on the dives we saw a bunch of sea turtles, colorful marine life, and a small reef shark!

Best excursion! Jared, Jeff, Ami & Nacho are incredibly experienced, knowledgeable & patient ( 2 of us needed a bit more guidance). Well worth it , highly recommend & will definitely do again.
