Upptäck Culebra: 2-Tank Scuba Diving

Beskrivning

The team were great. We saw plenty of coral, fish, nurse sharks and turtles. There were plenty of drinks, snacks and lunch provided. Deeza was a great instructor.

This was a return visit to have certification for my two daughters to rescue diver. Very thorough and knowledgeable, the conditions were rough and went out of their way to find a calm bay to practice skills. Angel-Luis was a competent and experienced teacher. We will be coming back again.
Thank you for choosing Sea Ventures! It’s wonderful to hear that your return visit for your daughters’ Rescue Diver certification was such a positive experience. Our team takes pride in adapting to conditions and making sure training is both safe and effective, so it’s great to know the effort to find a calm bay made a difference. We appreciate your kind words and look forward to welcoming you back for the next adventure.
Great dive shop with professional staff. Our dive was good and guides knowledgeable with good bottom time. Equipment is in good shape and boat staff was very helpful. Dive boat is large and wide with a great dive platform.
Thank you for choosing Sea Ventures! We’re delighted to hear that you had a great experience with our team. It’s wonderful to know you found our staff professional, our guides knowledgeable, and the equipment in excellent condition. We take pride in maintaining a spacious and comfortable dive boat, and we’re glad the dive platform and crew support added to your enjoyment. We truly appreciate your kind words and look forward to welcoming you back for more underwater adventures!
Great dive, and very safe group. Really good spot for new divers. They put a dive master in the water with you, and they are very diligent with keeping the group together and checking on everyone. They did separate our party that had 7 divers and some new ow certs. I probably wouldn’t like it if I was just diving with my wife and we wanted to go our own way. I wouldn’t recommend for advanced divers that want to stay away from the group. The staff was very friendly and always helpful.
Thank you for sharing your diving experience with Sea Ventures. We're pleased to hear that the dive offered a strong sense of safety and support, especially for newer divers. Having a dive master in the water and maintaining group cohesion is part of our commitment to ensuring every guest feels confident and secure beneath the surface. We understand that more experienced divers may prefer a more independent dive experience, and we appreciate your perspective, it helps us tailor future excursions more thoughtfully. It’s also wonderful to hear that our staff’s friendliness and attentiveness made a positive impact. Thank you again for choosing Sea Ventures, we hope to welcome you back for another journey underwater!
I booked two days of diving: Discover Culebra and local reef diving. Unfortunately, both trips were canceled the evening before they were scheduled. I felt fortunate because I stopped by the dive shop the day before our first dive and learned about the cancellations a few hours before receiving a text message. This allowed me to book with another operator. I understand that things can happen, but two short-notice cancellations in the same week are not cool.
Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you experienced with your scheduled dives. We understand how disappointing it must have been to have both trips canceled on short notice—especially when you're looking forward to exploring Culebra and the local reefs. While we sometimes face unforeseen circumstances that lead to cancellations, we completely agree that two in one week is far from ideal. We're especially sorry for the delay in communication; your proactive visit to the shop shouldn't have been necessary to learn about the changes. We truly appreciate your understanding, and we're glad you were able to find another operator to continue your diving adventure. Your feedback helps us improve, and we’re committed to making sure future guests enjoy the experience they came for. We hope you'll consider giving us another chance in the future to show you the exceptional diving experience we strive to provide.
The staff were expert and helpful. The boat was clean and comfortable. The gear was clean and well-maintained. The dives were well-guided. The visibility could have been better, and the currents calmer, but the dive was safe, and no one controls the conditions. All-in-all, a great experience.
Dear Michael, Thank you for taking the time to review our company. We are very happy to read you had a great time with our company in our Culebra Diving Tour. We will make sure to share your comments with the staff. We hope to see you again in the future here in Sea Ventures Fajardo Puerto Rico.
The short: premium trip canceled and sent with students, surly front desk person, short bottom time in shallow water, cheap junk food during surface interval. Long version: We and three other couples we didn't know booked the Culebra trip. The day before the trip we were told via email that their boat needed a repair and that they needed us to call immediately to rebook for their near shore trip or our reservations would be canceled. They were next to impossible to contact but finally did get in touch with them. We went to the docks to meet them only to be told that we had to walk back to the main office (about 10 minutes away) to sign a new form because we were on a different trip than the forms we already signed. The woman behind the counter was extremely rude. One of the other divers mentioned that she must be an owner or something because he has dove with them before and she is always that way. No employee could keep a job acting like her. The crew on the boat was pleasant, but now instead of going on a dive with all certified divers we were lumped in with students on their checkout dive. Our dive was called at 45 minutes bottom time because several people ran out of air. My wife and I still had over 2000 psi in our tanks as did a few other people. This was a shallow water dive and normally the dive masters send the people low on air up to the boat and continue with the dive. This happened on both dives. I was told that this is their policy. The snacks onboard were store bought junk food like cheap cookies and chips. I wouldn't go out with them again.
Dear Loup, Thank you so much for taking the time to review our company. First, I would like to apologize for any inconvenience as you may have encountered during your dive trip with us. Then I would like to make some clarifications. On both of our Culebra or Fajardo trips, we take Certified divers and students and /or snorkeling because the conditions of the Dive sites allow us to do so. So we don't really have a premium trip where we just cater certified divers at the moment. We can arrange them if we have a certain volume of certified divers only. Unfortunately, our system erases the waivers if the trips are rebook. So that's why we need a new waiver. On the confirmation email it clearly states that you need to check in at the dive shop first and then meet us at the equipment room and then from there our crew will take you to the boat. So I apologize again if you misunderstood the information, the lady behind the counter has been working with us for a couple of years and no, she's not one of the owners. She's a very nice person that does a very good job. I apologize if you thought she was being rude as that is certainly an attitude we do not tolerate. As for the Dive time normally dives are about 45 minutes to an hour so it's a mix of time vrs Air consumption based dives. I see the you could've probably been underwater for an hour and a half however, we run a trip that is from 9 to 1 PM in the afternoon so we can run another trip from 2 to 6 PM so we have to stick to schedule due to other schedule activities we have planned for the same day.
My husband and I finished our dives very disappointed with the safety precautions (or lack thereof) taken by Sea Ventures. From the outset, the water was incredibly choppy, so much so that we were rerouted from Culebra to Fajardo, a call that was initially appreciated—until we discovered that this did little to improve diving conditions. I didn’t feel safe practicing many of my surface skills with the instructor due to the waves, and multiple guests became seasick (in fact a female member of the crew openly mocked a vomiting passenger instead of offering to help him) while another diver struggled with inner ear issues due to the rough conditions. I trusted that PADI certified diving instructors would prioritize our safety above all else, but didn’t have this experience with Sea Ventures. In fact, the only photo I left with was of the bruise on my thigh from the unsecured boat ladder that slammed into me during a swell. Perhaps more experienced divers aren’t bothered by these intense conditions, but as a diving student, I wouldn’t recommend—or at least would strongly advise only booking dives after extensively checking weather conditions first, as those don’t seem to be a concern for Sea Ventures.
Dear Haley, Thank you for taking the time to review our company. We are very sorry to read you were not satisfied with our company during your dives. First of all, we take safety precautions very seriously, we would never endanger any of our crew, boat or clients. I have spoken with your instructor, as well as all other crew present that day. Sea conditions were too rough to go to Culebra, that is why dive site was changed to Fajardo Reefs, where sea conditions were normal for the area. The instructor mentioned that your husband got sick and vomited not only himself but adjacent clients and a dive master equipment. The female dive master you mentioned did not make fun at your husband, she reacted to her equipment when she put it on and realized it was vomited by someone. Please understand that diving is done in open waters and swells are common, ladders will always swing. Again we apologize for the inconvenience and We hope to see you again in the future.
Took this Culebra trip but ended up not making it to Culebra due to weather. As the weather, wind and waves got worse in route Capt. Jay made a great safety decision not to continue to Culebra. Instead, he took us to an alternate dive site and still got us two good dives (turtles, rays, coral, fish). Our dive master Natalia and the rest of the crew were awesome. They were attentive to every diver, professional and obviously enjoyed their jobs. The boat and equipment was clean and well maintained. Recommend you put this place on your "Dives to do list"
Dear, Thank you for taking the time to review our company. We do take the security for our divers and crew very seriously and try to ensure everyone gets a good dive. We are very happy to read you had a great time with our company on our Fajardo Reefs Tour. We will make sure to share your comments with the staff. We hope to see you again in the future here in Sea Ventures Fajardo Puerto Rico.
