Our experience with Youssef was awesome! He is extremely knowledgeable, kind and respectful. He adapts to your pace and explains everything clearly, making the tour very interactive and engaging. He even offers to take a bunch of amazing pictures, which makes your tour unforgettable. I highly recommend taking any tour with him, you won’t regret it!
Mohamed Youssef is an excellent tour guide. We spent two days with Mohamed, one in the center of Cairo touring churches, mosques and synagogues, and the second day in Giza at the Pyramids and Spinx. Mohamed is well-educated, is a licensed Egyptian guide, has a good command of the English language and shares his knowledge of history and culture. What we learned the first day fed into what we saw the second day. Mo is in my contacts now and I would recommend his service to our friends and family traveling to Egypt.

Excellent Tour of Coptic and Islamic Cairo! We spent over five hours with Youseff, and it was definitely one of the best walking tours I’ve ever experienced. He has a wealth of knowledge — from the architecture and symbolic elements of the buildings, to the history of Egypt, and an intricate understanding of religion and society. Youseff truly has it all. His passion and insight brought every site to life, from the Hanging Church and Abu Serga to the Citadel and Muhammad Ali Mosque. I highly recommend Youseff if you want to experience a deep dive into Cairo’s history, culture, and faith, and have it explained in a way that’s engaging, personal, and unforgettable. Ten out of ten!
Our tour was almost 5 hours long and we saw old Cairo ending at the Saladin citadel. There was no way we would have learned all the things we did about these sites without Youssef explaining all the historical and cultural details. He is a wealth of knowledge and kept us busy the whole time with lessons in history. Highly recommend this tour but be ready to listen and pay attention.
