Vår tur kan börja med att hämta dig från flygplatsen och transportera dig till ditt hotell eller tvärtom genom att hämta dig från ditt hotell och transportera dig till flygplatsen i slutet av turen. Observera att flygplatstransfern, ankomsten eller avresan måste vara samma dag som turen. Eftersom det är en privat tur kan du välja starttid och anpassa besöken efter din komfort. Behöver du avsluta turen innan är det inga problem, det är ingen brådska om du vill eller behöver göra besöken långsamt. Vår privata transport tar oss till Yanahuara och sedan återvänder vi till centrum av Arequipa som är ett världskulturarv, och vi kommer att ta en rundvandring, utforska och upptäcka Arequipas koloniala förflutna och dess nuvarande kultur. Arequipa är en stad med mycket historia, tradition, natur och kulturell mångfald. Välkommen resenärer!

Du kan besöka torget och utsiktsplatsen för denna traditionella stadsdel, varifrån du kan se vulkanerna som omger staden. Vi kommer också att observera den koloniala kyrkan byggd med vulkanisk sten och guiden kommer att förklara varför detta område anses vara en av de mest romantiska i Arequipa.
Mundo Alpaca Arequipa representerar ett stort kulturellt och turistiskt bidrag till White City - världshuvudstad Alpaca- som försöker exponera och föra till världen vår tusenåriga kulturella rikedom, vilket gör att dess besökare kan uppskatta och "leva" Alpaca-upplevelsen, interagera direkt med dessa djur i en vacker naturmiljö. Dessutom kommer de att kunna se den förfäders teknik för manuell klassificering av fibern live, liksom utställningen av den extraordinära traditionella processen med ryggbandsvävstolen. Vi kommer också att observera, röra och lära oss mer om vicuñafibern, som anses vara den finaste i världen.
Förmodligen kyrkan med det största religiösa konstnärliga uttrycket i staden, här hittar du fasader i mestizo barockstil, vackra altare dekorerade med bladguld, och koloniala målningar.
Denna marknad anses vara ett kulturarv i landet, eftersom det inte bara är ett grundläggande utbudscentrum, utan är en del av den kulturella utvecklingen av Arequipa och är ett tydligt exempel på den levande kulturen och den samtida ekonomiska rörelsen i staden. På denna marknad kan du hitta alla typer av typiska produkter från Arequipa och andra regioner i Peru, här finns en stor mångfald av frukter, potatis och naturprodukter, samt medicinalväxter som är mycket populära inom den lokala kulturen.
Det är en av de viktigaste historiska monumenten i Arequipa, med anor från 1677 och har vacker kolonial arkitektur, känd för sina vackra kolonner med högrelief detaljer.
Vi går in i Mario Vargas LLosa regionala bibliotek (Nobelpristagare i litteratur), en byggnad av republikansk arkitektur och levande kultur
Platsen för grunden av staden ligger i den historiska stadskärnan i Arequipa, som anses vara ett kulturarv i världen. Plaza de armas omges av katedralen och stenportalerna som visar oss passagen från kolonin till den republikanska eran. Vi kommer att gå upp till portalernas utsiktspunkt där vi kommer att observera torget omgivet av de imponerande vulkanerna Misti, Chachani och Pichu Pichu.
Genom San Francisco Street kommer vi att få tillgång till torget med samma namn, som är den näst viktigaste i den historiska stadskärnan (efter Plaza de Armas) både för sin skönhet och sin historiska relevans.
Vi kommer att gå genom de äldsta gatorna i staden som ligger i den traditionella stadsdelen San Lázaro, för närvarande en rekreations- och rastplats för nationella och utländska turister.

We had a fantastic time with Julio. He picked us up promptly from our hotel and we started by going to 2 beautiful viewpoints. He then took us to Mundo Alpaca, followed by a city tour ending in the Santa Catalina monastery. Throughout the day, Julio gave us great insights and information about everything we were seeing and he also took some great photos of us. We feel that this tour gives you a great overview of Arequipa and it's very well organized and executed. Highly recommended.

I can't imagine a better way to get to know a city with its many sights than with a personal guide. Our guide Julio was perfect in every respect. Immediately after picking us up from the airport, he took us to viewpoints of the city and the surrounding area on the drive towards the city center. His English was excellent and communication and conversation were guaranteed. The guided tour on foot through the city center with its various tourist destinations and his competent knowledge of all the places visited was impressive. I went with this tour because of the strong reviews and after having done it with a friend, I can honestly say it's even better than I expected. JULIO is amazing, has a rich knowledge of history and culture of the city and country, and is so thoughtful in providing really interesting info because he understands the people he is guiding. This is one of the best guides I've experienced and highly recommend Julio.

This was by far the best tour I think I will ever experience! Julio is so knowledgeable not only about Arequipa, but about EVERYTHING Peruvian history and politics and architecture and art and so much more! My flight arrived to Arequipa at 8:30 am and Julio picked me up from the airport and showed me beautiful viewpoints from which I could see the three tall mountains and the valley. Then, I got to feed and pet alpacas and llamas! I also learned about vicuñas and the different wool types and saw how they process the wool. I learned about the pre- and post-colonial history of the area, and Julio explained how the Spanish incorporated Incan mythologies and lore into the carvings of the various cathedrals. The architecture was so beautiful! We explored the Plaza de Armas and then he took me to the Santa Catalina Monastery. What a gorgeous monastery! The tour guide there, Celia, took me on an hour-long tour of the life of the nuns within the walls of the monastery. Celia was so full of wonderful information and answered all the questions I had even before I could ask them! :) It’s hard to pick a favorite part to this incredible day! We ended on a highlight - the Museo Santuarios Andinos. There, Julio described the Incan culture and rituals, and I got to see the beautifully preserved frozen Inca girl “Juanita”. I learned all about the Incan lifestyle - foods, clothing, textiles, rituals, art, metallurgy - that scientists gleaned from studying her remains. This was an amazing tour all around Arequipa! Julio is the best guide and is so full of information and is so passionate about it and is so easy to talk to and learn from! This tour was nearly 9 hours long and every single minute of it was incredible - easily the best tour I will ever have in my life. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough! Thank you, Julio! :)

From the start of planning via email Alejandra and Julio made our visit to Arequipa sensational. Julio met us at the airport and we were able to visit the Sillar Route, Yanahuara and a delightful restaurant. We loved the hotel recommendation and we were so happy that we booked a second day to do a city tour including the Monasterio de Santa Catalina and Plaza de Armas. Arequipa is a lovely city. It was made immeasurably more enjoyable because we had Julio's local expertise and superb driving skills to show us around. It is a great time to visit Peru and we highly recommend that you plan to see Arequipa with Peru Nat Red.

After spending a couple days in Lima, Arequipa finally provided me with what felt like a real Peruvian experience. The food there was also what we were looking for and much better than food in Lima. Julio was a stellar guide with a big heart and a very deep knowledge of his history. The private aspect of the tour also really helped elevate the experience. I highly recommend this tour, and especially so if Julio is your guide!

I had a really great experience on my private walking tour of Arequipa with Julio. He took me to the most important and interesting places in the city and is extremely knowledgeable. His passion for the town was contagious. Also we had wonderful conversations more generally about life in Peru and I really felt I got a different insight than I could have possibly gotten on my own.
