Where do I begin to describe my wonderful journey through the six churches of Revelation? (I skipped Ephesus because I visited it two years ago and didn’t have enough time.) As a Christian, I initially just wanted to visit these places—but something amazing happened. My tour guide, Buğra, had a beautiful program where he lets you step into these ancient cities and relive their majestic moments through his storytelling. And let me tell you, he’s that good! Then he takes you to a quiet spot, where you read the letters from the Book of Revelation addressed to these ancient churches. There, you reflect on your own personal revelations from the Holy Spirit while Buğra leads you into a deep spiritual discourse. It was truly amazing! I felt like I was one of the citizens back then, as if those letters were written just for me. And then there’s the captain of our private van, Turgay Abe—a kind soul who always carries cat and dog food wherever he goes. He’s such a charming and adorable man, kind of like my grandpa, and he creates memorable little moments. One time, he stopped by the road next to a grape farm—he went into the field and came back with a handful of fresh, organic grapes!
