A great experience with a knowledgeable guide. The path is flat and often sandy - never made up, but a few boardwalks. we stopped for commentary at 8/9 sacred sights and were well informed. The stops help break up the walk that is more than 7 miles after trips to the sacred spaces and waterfalls. Walking is the best way rather than cycling or segways, as walking really helps you experience the enormity of the rock. Starting at sunrise adds an extra dimension, and Sonia was a great guide. Don't be put off - do it

Great early morning walk around the base of Uluru. It's a very easy walk with lots of stops to talk about points of significance for the Anangu people. It is cold in the beginning but warms up as the day goes on. Michelle was great, very knowledgeable and passionate about what she does. Would highly recommend!

Stunning sunrise colours in the rock, pretty waterholes and fascinating rock art. Definitely worth going with a guide to learn about the cultural history of the rock.

The experience started before sunrise as we journeyed from our hotel to the base of Urulu with Michael our driver and guide for the trek. We experienced Urulu in the darkness and then as the sun rose we saw it changing colours. We joined a small group formed mainly form Australians who had travelled from different parts to Australia and the trek was a very friendly, informative and enjoyable trek.

It is a 11km flat walk around Uluru but get ready for the sticky flies which certainly requires a net for the hat. You can also do the walk yourself without a guide more quickly but having a guide to learn about geography and Anangu Culture is very nice.

Do not miss doing this activity! The scenery was breathtaking and the information excellent. It was hot so we were glad we had such an early morning start. Our guide was great.

We liked this long walk around the rock, where we learn a little bit about Aboriginal customs. It was really hot (January)... I would have stepped up a bit at the beginning, in order to finish before the heatwave (it's hot from 7:00). Almost 12 km in total; you have to be prepared... Our guide, Dany, was very interesting.

Very nice walk with lots of explanations about Uluru. The guide was very knowledgeable about Aboriginal culture. Beware of the flies, use a fly net over your head.

Enjoyed the walk and the guides were very informative. The breakfast was basic, but plentiful. We appreciated that they were able to accommodate dietary restrictions. Be aware that it is very dusty. The red sand and dust cover your shoes and clothes. Also the flies are a huge nuisance around your head and face. So be prepared with a head net that you can buy anywhere at the resort.
