Parken skapades för att tillhandahålla en fristad för vilda djur som fördrivits av konstruktionen av Udawalawe-reservoaren vid Walawe-floden, samt för att skydda reservoarens avrinningsområde.

We had very good experience with the trip.recommend to try the safari with very nice guide mr gimhana +94711212160 .(if you want to reach him)he will do all the needful.from begining to end. Must try in Sri Lanka to experience this wild terrain and elephant families
Very professionally managed tour The guide cum driver Mr Udit was very resourceful and pleasant to interact with The pick up and drop was absolutely on time The jeep was very clean and in much better condition compared to other operators we saw in the park Thanks for the amazing safari
Gimhana (our lovely guide) blessed us with THE best safari experience you could think of. Pick up was right on time and then the adventure began. He showed us plenty of different animals, even spotted a lizard on a tree (while driving) and always stopped and explained some. We were even able to see a baby elephant with about 8 other elephants belonging to the herd. We could stop as long as we wanted for each animal, we even stayed for a good 30 minutes for the herd I mentioned before. We would highly recommend!!
Our guide Gimhana was the loveliest human being! He was available for every questions before, during and after the tour. He picked us up directly at our hotel, helped us buy the park entrance tickets and made sure we saw exactly the things we were excited for. Needless to say he knows the Park and the animals there very well. We saw over 30 elephants, including some just week old babies. It was such a wholesome, informative and exciting experience!
It was a really nice experience! Our driver was reliable, very friendly and had a good knowledge about the animals. He knew the spots where you can find them and we saw a lot of diffrent animals during our tour. Thank you for the great adventure.

We originally planned to start at 6:00 AM, but our guide suggested 2:00 PM instead. It rained a little, but we were lucky enough to see many elephants, including one with tusks! 🐘 Seeing wild elephants so close was an amazing experience. Our guide was very kind and friendly. Highly recommended!
The Safari with our tourguide was amazing! We arrived a little too late but it was no Problem and they arranged a new meeting Point. Our tourguide was very motivated to give us the Full experience of a Safari with elephants, crocodils and different smaller animals. He also avoided the very crowded area so we could experience a more exklusive Safari! We can definetely recommend booking with this Provider!

We booked our safari directly with the operator via WhatsApp and were completely satisfied. Our driver was also our guide and led us through the safari with great experience and a keen eye. We were able to observe numerous different birds and other animals – the absolute highlight, of course, was the many elephants! 🐘🦅 A wonderful safari with a fantastic experience.
