Ingen snorkelvana nödvändig men föredragen. Måste vara en bekväm simmare i havet för att delta.

Tyler and Bradford were great. Showed us a lot and were very knowledgeable and patient.
Had a great experience with our tour guide, AARON! Very knowledgeable about the marine life in the caves!
Hard to even on the kayaks didn’t even get to where our group was waiting for us. We flipped and we have no one from our vendor out in the water with us. We had other customer from a different party trying to help. It was about 10 minutes before we had anyone reach us. No information given on getting on or even staying on. Cashier that check us in was Awesome! The girl that was supposed to “help fit us” was rude never help my husband or I, even when I was asking questions very dismissive. Overall a complete fail, the tour guide kept telling us how hard it was to even help and how if we couldn’t stay on at the beach how were we even going to snorkel. After numerous attempts we called it we never even made it passed the waves.
I scheduled a kayak and snorkeling tour to celebrate my birthday in La Jolla. Checking-in was easy and the staff were very kind. I did my tour with Connor and one other guest. While we were on the water, Connor led us through the waves and I enjoyed all of his fun facts about the marine life and the caves. We snorkeled by the caves where I got to see Gerilbaldi underwater and even got up close to a sea lion. Throughout the tour, Connor was attentive, patient and kind. If you plan to visit, I hope you get lucky enough to tour with him!

Hannah and Laura were fabulous! In addition to the caves we learned about the vast sea life below us. Saw fish, sand sharks, seals and so much more. Excellent service and staff.
Ty and Andy(?) were great. Super helpful and cared for our groups well being. I suggest a waterproof phone strap for around your neck. Try not to hold anything personal your hands.
My wife and I booked a kayak and snorkel tour, specifying a double kayak. While checking out online, I thought I was paying for two participants, but I actually ended up paying for two double kayaks. I've gone on many kayak tours, and have always paid per person, not per kayak. When our guide Sawyer was calling off the names of people who had booked, he indicated that there were four people in my party. I suddenly realized that I had booked two kayaks, and I notified the employee behind the counter immediately. I said that there were only two people in our party, and that I could check in with him again at the end of the trip. As we put in, I was surprised to see that the guides were not wearing PFDs. I thought this modeled poor safety practices, and worried that the people we would be relying on in an emergency were the ones at risk for drowning. Once in the kayaks, we paddled for a while, then stopped for the snorkel activity. We were not told that we'd be swimming an additional mile to reach the caves, nor why we were stopping so far away. The guides told us that we could take off our life jackets if we wanted to, which was surprising to us from a safety standpoint. After a couple of minutes of swimming, my wife developed a leg cramp. Our snorkeling guide Tumas had already swum quite far away, so I accompanied my wife back to our kayak, then swam a mile by myself to catch up with the rest of the group, who were quite far away by then. I'm a strong swimmer, but I'm quite concerned that the guide didn't try to keep the swimmers together, didn’t see that one of the participants was in distress, or even seem to notice that we were missing. I eventually caught up with the rest of the snorkelers. For all of that swimming, the snorkeling was mediocre at best – there was little to see. It’s quite difficult for even an experienced kayaker to get back on a sit-on-top kayak in deep open water. The guides were of little help in showing us how to do it. My wife, who has been kayaking for 40 years, got a painful rib bruise from trying to get back onto the kayak. At the end of the trip, we returned to the shop and I reminded the employee behind the counter that I had accidentally booked two kayaks instead of one. This was a price difference of approximately $170. He stated that he could not refund the cost of the unused kayak, because they could have rented it to someone else if I hadn't reserved it. I was stunned by the shop’s unwillingness to make any accommodation for a client’s honest mistake.
lislc2017, Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We’re very sorry to hear about your experience and the concerns you’ve raised. Safety is our highest priority. All of our guides are thoroughly trained and operate under exceptionally strict safety protocols that are contracted by the City of San Diego and mandated and enforced by local lifeguard authorities - including swim and rescue tests, CPR first aid certifications, also where and when helmets and personal flotation vests are required. Further, the same lifeguards are a matter of minutes away if we need their help with every resource you can imagine. We take concerns like yours seriously and will review your comments internally to ensure our standards are consistently upheld in both practice and communication. We also understand how frustrating booking confusions can be. During sold-out holiday periods such as Spring Break and Summer, we’re unfortunately unable to offer refunds for reservation errors, as each spot is reserved and held in advance and can be changed anytime prior to 48 hours before your scheduled launch. That said, we’d be happy to offer you a complimentary reschedule credit for the unused portion of your booking. Please reach out to us at info@everydaycalifornia.com so we can assist you directly. We appreciate your feedback and the opportunity to improve. Best, Josh
