David was our driver and host for the trip there and back. Really friendly and super knowledgeable about the area. Made the drive fun! Louis was our guide at the sanctuary. Super friendly and knew where to find both howler and spider monkeys. The cenote swim at the end was incredible! 10/10 stars!
Absolutely obnoxious guide who did not understand or speak English at all. He seemed not to want to be there and wait for it to end quickly. We saw two monkeys he pointed at us, not a word more. He didn’t try to find us any more. Then, in front of the zip line my son got scared and asked him if it was dangerous. He said yes (probably he didn’t understand anything) and did not reassure him at all. He was just waiting, annoyed, for us to hurry. As a result, we didn’t. He didn’t talk to us, didn’t explain anything to us, we just had to follow him without knowing what we would do next. Then he stuck us in a boat and said go ahead. I asked if he was coming and he said no and left in another boat with other guides. I didn't know how much time we had or where to go. Finally we made the cenote abseiling 15m underground. Again he does not reassure for a second and did not even bother to help me back up (I weigh 50 kg) because he surely had the woman. And climbing a ladder like that 15m without any help is very difficult... I still have sores on my feet and hands. Finally, I asked to change the day for the tour and they told me not to worry. The day of the tour I ask if he arrives and he replies that he will pick up the band. I ask which group since I paid a large sum to have a private tour, he replies that as I changed days I am with a group ....! I say it’s either a refund or a private tour since I paid a private tour and it’s definitely not the same price. He finally found a solution after making me wait 3 hours to know if it was good or not so that I could organize my day. Shameful. 380 euros for that!

All visits are scheduled up to date, and the changes you requested were all made due to the accident that happened to your foot the day before the scheduled tour. However, it was up to us to support you and make your visit to the reserve a success. This was an unepectedly wonderful experience: our first monkeys, a beautiful lagoon and a thrilling cenote! The Staff was very friendly and helpful!

What an amazing excursion, our guides were amazing we learned so much about the Mayan history and culture. Hiking through the jungle and seeing the Spider and Howling monkey’s in their natural habitat. This is a must do if you are in Tulum
Good morning friends, thank you very much for believing in our service, this helps us so that people know the history of the Mayan area, we always offer the best as a group in the Mayan community, I wish you the best, thank you very much, God bless you (Yum Bootik) (God thank you)🙌🇲🇽💯🙏🫶
This is a beautiful, authentic experience with wonderful Mayan guides. The reserve is spectacular. A word of caution, though the cenote is amazing it is a cave cenote that requires repelling down more than 12m then climbing back up a rickety rope ladder with wooden rungs. Make sure you are in good enough shape to climb yourself out, especially if you are heavy since the guide might not be able to help much with hoisting you out!
Good morning friends, thank you for believing in us, and for supporting the Mayan community, especially that of Punta Laguna, the true Mayan jungle and monkey sanctuary. God bless you for everything 🙏🙌💯🇲🇽
We saw spider & howler monkeys while walking through the jungle! The zip line was fun & the rappelling into the Cenote was amazing. Super fun trip. Our driver was helpful & kind. Something to note: your driver is not the same person that guides you when you get to the reserve. Come prepared to tip both!
Hello friend, greetings, I appreciate everything, your words help more so that people visit us in this reserve and see that we are a reliable community for this tour, and yes, thank you for supporting our Mayan community, it is very important to us, you are incredible, thank you.
Such a fun tour! We saw both spider monkeys & howler monkeys while walking in the jungle. The zip line was fun and rappelling into the Cenote was an amazing experience! Our driver was friendly & helpful. Highly recommend this tour!
Hello my friends, thank you very much for writing, I really appreciate everything, it was an incredible day, visiting the Mayan jungle is always magical, I wish you the best, greetings from Tulum 🇲🇽🛶☀️💯🎄🙌
We did the tour with David. On the drive to punta laguna, David showed and explained us many aspects of the mayan history and culture. Despite the rainy weather, we saw both types of monkeys that are living in punta laguna. The underground cenote is really cool, with very clear water and many sleeping bats on the rocks. We were alone in the cenote, that made it even cooler. On the drive back to tulum we stopped in cobá where we saw some crocodiles. David is a cool dude, highly recommend it!
Hello, mis amigos, good morning, thank you very much for your comments, it was a pleasure to serve you, and thank you for visiting our Mayan community, it is very important to know and preserve the natural areas, this Monkey reserve is cared for by the true Mayans who have a feeling and connection with Mother Nature, as well as the ancient traditions of the Mayans, YUUM BOTIK, God bless you. 🙌🇲🇽🌴🌊☀️🙏
The description of this activity is incredibly underwhelming relative to the reality of the tour. We were picked up in and AC’d VW at our doorstep before being driven to the Mayan reserve whilst our guide, David, narrated his knowledge of Mayan history - he is a true passionate and makes you feel it in his stories. The reserve is quite inaccessible and thus not in the least crowded. Our tour was private with no other tourists around. We were met by the Mayan locals who took us through the jungle. We saw spider monkeys in abundance, included babies hanging from high trees from their tail - it was magical. We were then taken to the lagoon by way of a 250m zip line overlooking the crystal clear water and a breathtaking view of the wilderness that surrounded us. The adventure continued as we hopped on a canoe and slowly paddled across the lagoon, taking in the unique view of jungle from this serene body of water whilst wondering what may be hiding in its depth. The final stretch of the day takes place in a hidden cenote that’s 18m deep. Our guide lowered us with the help of a rappel into the depths of a cave that was once used as a cemetery by his Mayan ancestors. The thrill was unreal! Overall, one of the best experiences we’ve had in Mexico - thank you ever so much to David who not once rushed us and took care of us as if we were full VIP
