Vårt äventyr börjar när vi anländer till vår helgedom där en av våra shamaner kommer att välsigna dig för att komma in i djungeln där vår helgedom ligger, vi påminner dig om att denna välsignelse är att kunna tacka de uråldriga andarna av choklad och honung för att förbättra erfarenhet. Våra expertchokladtillverkare kommer att ge oss en rundtur genom mayakakaons historia och hur fröna användes, vi kommer också att lära oss processen för att skapa vår egen choklad genom att rosta fröna, skala dem och mala dem till metater. även välja att lägga till vår favoritingrediens för att göra en personlig chokladmix. Vi kommer att ta en workshop om bevarandet av Maya-biet, det enda biet i världen som inte har en stinger, så vår fristad strävar efter att bevara det, och honungen det producerar har en unik smak och anses vara ett läkemedel, du kan också delta i insamlingen av honung, du kommer att göra tvålar och ljus med honung med dina egna händer och du kan ta en av dessa produkter hem.

Very nice host. Did not get to actually make anything with chocolate. Seemed like very interesting information but the language barrier was difficult. Not very organized. The cenote was terrible would not even go in the water.
First thing to know is that this is not in Tulúm, it is in Cobá which is about 45 minutes inland from Tulum. The description says you will make soap and or a candle- this never happened. We did get to taste cocoa beans and we all got to practice crushing them the way they used to do it. We did have a very small taste of a few different flavors of chocolate. Our guide was very knowledgeable and told us lots about how the people used to live in the ruins. They also did a blessing before we entered what used to be the house( now just a couple of rocks). He spoke just a little English, but we were able to translate most. The cenote swim was a highlight as well as a delicious lunch. I wish the description was updated as to what and where the trip was.

I really liked the variety of chocolates. I hadn’t eaten chocolate with habanero although the one I liked best was vanilla chocolate, but the others are also very delicious. And knowing what has many benefits besides its flavor is a plus
