Res till Betlehem, Jeriko och Qaser Al Yahud - guidad tur från Jerusalem
Beskrivning
Vi börjar vår tur med att köra genom Judeens kullar till Betlehem. Vid ankomst kommer vi att åka genom staden och se de viktiga attraktionerna innan vi anländer till Manger Square. Där får vi ett guidat besök i Födelsekyrkan där Jesus föddes i en underjordisk grotta som kyrkan byggdes på. Sedan tar vi en kort promenad med guiden till Kyrkan av mjölkgrottan. När vi är klara åker vi till staden Beit Sahour, herdens stad. Där kommer vi att ha ett guidat besök i kapellet på Shepherd's Field. Fortsätter vår turné kommer vi att ha ett 25 minuters besök i en olivträfabrik och en kooperativ butik. Slutligen kommer vi att besöka en av de mest unika städerna inom historia och geografi i världen, Jericho. En full guidad tur till kyrkans födelse. Kyrkan är en av de äldsta arbetande kyrkorna som finns idag. Den första kyrkan byggdes av den romerska kejsaren Konstantin på 400-talet e.Kr. över grotten där Maria födde Jesus. Kyrkan ligger där Jesus föddes i Betlehem.
Saint Catherine's Church är ett fransiskanerkloster. Det sägs vara byggt på platsen för Kristi utseende till St. Katarina i Alexandria och hans förutsägelse av hennes martyrdom i början av 400-talet.
Milk Grottokyrkan är den plats där den heliga familjen hittade tillflykt under oskyldiges massakre, innan de kunde fly till Egypten. Namnet härstammar från berättelsen att en "droppe mjölk" av Jungfru Maria föll på golvet i grottan och ändrade färg till vit.
Chapel of the Shepherd's Field.Det markerar platsen där änglarna meddelade först Kristi födelse. Shepherds 'Field Chapel är en religiös byggnad i den katolska kyrkan som ligger i området Beit Sahur sydost om Bethlehem på Västbanken i Palestina. Jerome-grottan ligger faktiskt under St. Katarina-kyrkan och kan också nås därifrån. S:t Hieronymus, en präst från Dalmatien (345-420 e.Kr.), översatte mycket av Gamla testamentet från hebreiska och grekiska till det latinska "vulgaten".
Jungfru Marias Orden av Karmelberget har inte en enda grundare utan grundades av en grupp eremiter som bodde nära "Elias vår" på berget Karmel, med två rötter till sin andlighet: Profeten Elia och Jungfrun Mary. I början av 1200-talet fick eremiterna en levnadsregel, som skrevs av Saint Albert, patriark av Jerusalem.

Aida, även stavat 'Ayda, är ett palestinskt flyktingläger som ligger 2 kilometer norr om Betlehems historiska centrum och 1 km norr om Beit Jala.
Bab idDeir Art Gallery är ett oberoende konstnärligt och kulturellt utrymme i Betlehem, beläget i Deik-kvarteren i den historiska gamla staden Betlehem.
Deir Hajla eller Deir Hijleh är det arabiska namnet på det grekisk-ortodoxa klostret Saint Gerasimus. Det ligger i Jericho Governorate på Västbanken, väster om Jordanfloden och norr om Döda havet.
I det evangeliet hör vi om Jesus som gick genom Jeriko. Sackeus bodde där och han var "en främste skatteindrivare och rik". Han "försökte se vem Jesus var" men var kort, så han klättrade upp i "ett platanträd" för att se honom när han gick förbi. Jesus stannar och kallar honom ner och bjuder in sig själv på middag hemma hos Sackeus – till Jerikos folks bestörtning – och tullindrivaren konverterar på plats.
Hishams palats är en viktig tidig islamisk arkeologisk plats för Umayyaddynastin från första hälften av 800-talet, en av de så kallade Umayyadökenborgen. Det ligger vid Khirbat al-Mafjar, 5 km norr om staden Jeriko på Västbanken.
Frestelsens berg ligger cirka 3 km nordväst om Jeriko som ligger cirka 58 km öster om Jerusalem, Israel. Berget ligger i Judeens öken och har utsikt över Jordandalen. Efter att ha blivit döpt av Johannes Döparen drog Jesus sig tillbaka till öknen för att meditera och fasta, detta berg där Jesus tros ha tillbringat de 40 dagarna och 40 nätterna av andlig kontemplation. Vi åker inte linbana eller besöker berget på denna tur
Tell es-Sultan, även känd som Tel Jericho eller Ancient Jericho, är platsen för forntida och bibliska Jeriko och idag en UNESCO-nominerad arkeologisk plats på Västbanken, belägen två kilometer norr om Jerichos centrum
På museet visas arkeologiska lämningar, inklusive en mängd vackra mosaiker från den bysantinska perioden. Museets ena flygel ägnas åt historien om det samaritiska samhället, dess historia och seder.

A very good good tour. Monday was a slow day, so not a lot of people. Tour guys were really informative. Importante to bring cash for Jericho entrances. I recommend.
Certainly Bethelem is worth a whole day of visit, but if you need to save time, this excursion going also to Jericó and Jordan river is very convenient. It´s possible to feel a bit of the desert during the trip and the palestinian side of Israel. My tour didn´t go to the cable car and the monastry inJerico. They replaced it with the mosaic Al Hashim, which is magnificent and I really support this change.
We REALLY enjoyed this opportunity to safely see some of the renowned sites within the West Bank. Bethlehem was an absolute highlight! As was our first guide, Elias. He was wonderfully informative and engaging... but best of all, he was HILARIOUS. He could be a stand-up comedian, I kid you not. His comedic timing was impeccable and that helped to keep our daughters -- ages 11 and 13 -- absolutely enthralled with his recounting of historic, religious history. The afternoon at the Jordan River and Jericho were also good, as was the guide.. But it's the morning session that convinced us this was an excellent investment. The ONLY disappointment: This tour suggested a brief stop at (or at least drive by of) a Palestinian refugee camp... that did not happen. Not sure if it was due to timing or what, but I had personally hoped for that part of the tour, as well, to help round out the "balance" of our overall experience. Overall, I still highly recommend this tour!
very nice trip. we had a guide also for the second part (Jerico and Giordano) even if it was not included in the tour. Second guide, by the way, excellent!!!
The birthplace of Jesus was very beautiful and the holiest place in the world the church is very big and attractive the tour guide was very funny and brilliant he explained everything about the church and all the holy places in Bethlehem he makes our visit unforgettable Thank you.
Brilliant tour guide - very friendly and so knowledgeable. He took good care of everyone on the tour, making sure the could keep up. Enough time at all the sights listed. Very comfortable bus.
This was one of the best experiences we had on our trip. We absolutely loved the different tour guides we worked with and the knowledge and experiences that they shared with us. I was a little worried seeing the itinerary that it would be too many churches that would all blend together and bore my young kids, but each one was very different and had so many different stories to share. One slight problem - when booking, I was mostly concerned with avoiding activities on Shabbat that would be closed to us but I didn't think about the fact that all of these churches would have services on Sundays that would make it difficult to see them. Toward the beginning of the day it worked out in our favor because we had extra time to squeeze in a few other sights that normally weren't included on the tour. But we ended up having a very long wait at the Nativity Church to wait until the services concluded and the other people in the church kept getting annoyed at us waiting there. On the other hand, our guides were on top of it and made sure we were among the first in line, while other groups had a significantly longer wait. I think one of the best things about the tour though was that I not only got to learn fascinating facts about the rich history (my mind can't even comprehend the thousands of years of people that all were in that area) but also a lot about the modern problems and the different opinions of different local people depending on which side of the wall they live. It put so much into perspective for me.

The tour guides were very knowledgable and were very kind people. Felt always safe and in competent hands which was very important to me. The guides were eager to answer every question that arised and looked on the issues of the visited area with a refreshingly neutral view.
