Undvik stor buss (coach) på den slingrande vägen! Gå med i en liten grupp (max 7) i en minibuss! Kör den fantastiska Transfăgărășan Top Gear Road, stanna nära Poenari fästning - den verkliga Dracula slott! Börja ditt äventyr med Poenari fästning, en gång ett fäste för Vlad the Impaler (Dracula). Vi går inte in i fästningen, vi ser den från utsidan. Vi stannar vid den imponerande Vidrarudammen, ett underverk av teknik, där du kan njuta av den fantastiska utsikten över reservoaren och omgivande toppar. Vi beundrar getvattenfallet och vi kan smaka / köpa några lokala produkter (ost, pastrama, sylt, alkoholhaltiga drycker, etc.). Destinationen är Balea glacial sjö - platsen för utsikt på den slingrande vägen (öppen endast från juni till oktober), på över 2000 meters höjd, där vi äter lunch och ledig tid för vandring och bilder. Vi stannar här i 90 minuter. Denna tur blandar kultur och naturskönhet och erbjuder en oförglömlig dag. Liknande (billigare) turer görs av stora bussar med 55 passagerare!

The tour was spectacular. You get to see the second to none most scenic road in the world in 12 hours. Sebastian was perfect, accommodating, punctual, and polite. He tried his very best to please all of us. It was an unforgettable tour.
Our guide George was a super professional and safe driver, lots of knowledge, and you could tell he really wanted us to have the best trip! The road was still closed so we didnt get to see capra waterfall, the lake etc, but he drove us as far up the road as he could, until you literally couldn’t drive any longer. Very appreciative of that:-)
This was an absolutely fantastic trip! It was worth it for the views from Vidraru Dam and the lunch spot alone. We were also lucky enough to see a bear with cubs! Our guide George was friendly, knowledgeable and super professional. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience, and even manage to work some extra stops into our itinerary. He was wonderful, and I could not reccomend him enough. It is worth noting that you cannot visit the glacial lake and the iconic winding portion of Transfagarasan from the winter until June due to the weather. This IS on the TripAdvisor page (under additional information in know before you book). However, I do think it could still be made a bit more obvious. We didn't notice until a couple of days before the trip. However, even with the altered itinerary, it was still a fantastic trip I would reccomend to anyone, especially those interested in absolutely spectacular scenery.
We loved our trip. Roxana was easy to chat with. Very knowledgeable. A very safe driver. We would love to visit Romania again.
The route was great experience and wonderful guide(George) who explained about different places and shown us. The tunnel on the top was closed as mentioned(closed from Nov to mar). But our guide made sure that we the maximum experience of the trip

This was an absolutely amazing experience and really a highlight of my trip. Matei was a very safe driver and great guide. The stops were well spaced and interesting, so the 12 hours didn’t seem too long. We were so fortunate, we saw 13-14 bears, and 4 of them had cubs. Absolutely recommended, and I’ll definitely do it again if I get back to Romania
Sebastian is an amazing guide - safe driver, knowledgeable, great with questions, good sense of humor. I feel lucky that we got him as our guide. We saw 27 bears on this trip!!!
I would like to start the review by thanking Pavel (our guide) for the magnificent experience that he gave us. The first stop of the tour was at the dam, it had some beautiful views. After that, we started the ride along the road, through astonishing and lush forests. We were able to spot 12 bears! The last stop of the top gear road was near a waterfall with breathtaking views, it was cold but the silence and the landscape were magical. We ate in a restaurant, build like a wooden house/treehouse, with very good dishes, specially the meat. To sum up, thank you again for the experience and the explanations of the different places.
We had this tour with Pavel today....what a great trip! I highly recommend it. We saw 12 bears en route and the scenery is breathtaking. I could have stayed there for hours and hours. We visited a Monastery, which was a stunning building. We had a very tasty lunch in a beautiful woodland/treehouse setting. We also stopped at the dam. Nothing was rushed, plenty of stops and nothing was too much trouble. Pavel was full of local knowledge & very happy to competently answer all questions. And a fabulous soundtrack the whole way and back too! (That may be personal taste of course, I thoroughly enjoyed it😆) Thanks again Pavel
